Great Thai food restaurant with nice service and ambiance. The staff were very kind and friendly.
Food came in generous portions, we had to take away some, and it was delicious. Very authentic. They had, separately, real and strong spices that I could add to the food for a even more authentic experience.

At 1st glance it does not look like much. A cozy simple interior. BUT The service and food are amazing!
The ladies were very friendly and had a contageous joyfull air around them!
The food portions were huge and very tasty!
We ate here twice in our weeklong stay in Tromsø and if ever visiting again, will definetly make a stop at Ban Thai!

I only want to comment on the food. It’s one of the worst Thai food I had. I have never left a Thai restaurant or even a Thai food place in a food court without finishing what ordered, well everything has it’s first time and if happened here. It’s VERY western modified Thai food, blank, sweet, less complexity. If you want a nice Thai food, don’t need to come, if you dont mind very modified Thai food, you can still come.
You can go to an asian supermarket (not sure whether there’s one) get some that curry paste, you already have better Thai food available.

Authentic Thai cuisine, generous portion size, we had to take away some food and had a second meal the next day. So it’s probably good value for money. In case you might have read from other reviews about it being pricey, divide the bill by half.

Excellent food and good service. I highly recommend coming here. I wish we had of come here before. Also they then asked us what size dish we would like. I chose a large and it was huge. I could barely finish it, but was too good to leave. We’ll be going back again soon.

From the outside this restaurant looks like a regular house in the neighbourhood but on the inside you feels like your in Thailand. I´ve eaten thai food all over the world but this place stood out to me with a cozy atmosphere, friendly staff and rich flavours. The restaurant is in close proximity of the airport and makes for the perfect pitstop before you continue your travels. It has a great view of the water with the mountains in the background which adds to the experience.
