Bamford Dining Hall delivers on effort but not much on flavor. The service is top-notch, staff are professional, efficient, and keep things running smoothly even during the rush. The atmosphere is clean and orderly, with spotless tables and well-maintained facilities, though it’s hard to fully enjoy a meal with drill sergeants barking orders and trainees testing their limits in the background. Unfortunately, the food itself falls short, mostly bland and uninspired, leaving you more fueled than fulfilled. In short, great people and a clean environment, but the meals could use some serious seasoning and variety.

Great experience. I think food options are a bit limited and more on the low fat side but it’s probably because basic training and AIT eat here.

Yep. It doesn’t look very appetizing.
I’ll tell you. Divisional units eat and dine nicely. Foreigner’s did the KP duties and Staff Personnel focused on serving some pretty decent Chow. We had a Main Order Line and a Short Order Line. A large Fruit and Salad Bar and beverage dispensers of every caliber and size. Two Grilled cheese sandwichs or 2 Cheese Burgers with mushrooms or W/O and fries or chips. I was Completely Thunderstruck that the Army is charging for food Service’s. What kind of powder charge pellets have they been smoking to charge Active Duty Military Personnel for food services?

Most of the time the food isn’t great but it is definitely eatable, and there is a line for sandwiches(make your own) and sometimes a hamburger line. Not too many drink options, but everything that you would need: milk, juice, Gatorade, coffee, and water.

Hey it’s DFAC, it could be way worse. Don’t hold the food against them, they cook what the army tells them to.Staff there is great, really Friendly and fast NOT sloppy. That place is ALWAYS SQEAKY CLEAN! Feeding hundreds of hungry soldiers in 90 minutes isn’t a small task but they do it with a smile, remember our faces, names and give special treatment. They are good to their soldiers there and take pride in their mess hall and their personal appearance. Hope they’re paid well with all the refrigerators and ovens venting on them it’s gotta be hot as hades their side of that spotless glass. Did I mention the mess hall is clean? It’s ALWAYS IMMACULATE

Food is trash to be honest cold waffles in the morning throw them in the toaster and you’ll be alright. Pan cakes that crack like crackers when you bite down on them (i call them pancrackers). Unfortunately I’m forced to come here since I’m in AIT but i wouldnt come here if I had a choice.

They have lots of options and plenty of healthy options as well. They also went out of their way to help out a soldier needing some extra nutrition. The staff are very kind and personable.

It’s an Army DFAC. What are you expecting here? Medium rare USDA Select steak is not in a DFAC’s menu. The place has standard Gubbamint quality cheap, warm… “sustenance”
