Legends Rest is a great sports bar and craft beer bar hybrid. They have a great sporty vibe all around but offer a great beer selection from local breweries. Their food is inexpensive but very good. It’s a great addition to Westbrook’s downtown area.

My husband and I love going to this place for a bite to eat and a couple of drinks. The atmosphere is dark and cozy. I love the constantly rotating drafts of beer so that we can sample a lot of local creations. The house tots make me a believer!! Customize them in delicious ways, including buffalo, cheese & bacon, chili, or poutine. The burgers are a great value, and the Mac n cheese is delicious. Happy hour specials are top notch. The ability to choose your music is a nice touch. Definitely gets ‘hopping’ sometimes making the tables fill up quick, but the servers always do their best to keep up with demand. I recommend this place to a lot of people in conversation. Definitely suggest trying it out!!

Finally got to try this place out with my wife on New Year’s. It was absolutely packed, and service took too long. However, the server there was professional and courteous and was doing everything she could to keep up and keep customers happy. We absolutely loved her. The food was good normal bar fare, except the tater tots, which were exceptional. A little more coverage on busy days and this place would be a great local hole in the wall!

My very first time here was my very last. I am very disappointed. I went in to get a drink and order 3 burgers and 1 chicken burger to go all with sides. The meal came to 80$ and up on the wall was 3$off all burgers every Tuesday. When I asked the bartender about the discount, I was told “it was for dine in only.” Now, the problem lies within the way it was written. No where I looked stated that. It says it on the menu and every chalk board in the place. I was charged the entire price of the meals even though I sat and had a drink while my food cooked. I even tipped the bartender 10$ for my drink. Very dissatisfied and disappointed with this and don’t have plans to return as off yet.
I really wanted to like the place but with the cost of the food and the lack of sincerity in the ability to follow thru with the discount, it’s hard to swallow.

We dined outside near the river, on the boardwalk. The burgers were perfect, the server was very friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed stopping in for lunch on our bike ride.

There are bars, and there are experiences. If you want fancy shmancy this isn’t for you. If you want a down-to-earth local bar, where locals are friendly, the bartenders are actually funny and respectful, then this is the place to go. Meg is amazing. She manages the bar like a pro. Joe, is also a legend. He’s a solid bartender. I’ve only been here a handful of times, but will keep coming back.

Top 5 bar in the Greater-Portland area. Small, but you are never cramped. Even if you’re not looking for a sports bar, this is just a good place to go to. The food is bomb, the service is excellent, and the clientele is either super chill or super hilarious. I go out of my way to go here, it’s awesome, and go Celtics.

Price for a double of Makers Mark was 2 and half times higher Than ANYWHERE Else. Should have been $12 stead of $25. I believe the bartender wasn’t aware that ordering a double does not a-quaint to Double The Price I had appt in area and had never been or known of this place. As with the rising costs of EVERYTHING and was a medical appt it was simply to destress Myself only to double the distress when shown the bill. Likely not again patron there again especially if All The Prices double or triple over other similar establishments.

Was looking for a good burger on a Saturday night and found Legends Rest. Had a perfectly made burger with tater tots. Tots were crisp and a pleasant change from fries. The drink selection was diverse. I had a Budvar as well as a tasty cider.
My tip of the cap goes to the friendly young lady holding down the bar and waiting tables by herself. Well done, we noticed!
