Yes I ordered through door dash and yes my pizza arrived cold. That is not the focus of my review. The pizza was just not a good tasting pizza. Their ratio of dough to cheese to sause is off. The sause is all you can taste and it’s not that great of a sause (taste like it’s fresh out of a can). Change your sause and cut back on it or up your cheese. In a competitive market like pizza, nothing stands out as special with this pizza.

Absolutely love the Bally! Sometimes I go just to get a pizza and play some pool, and other times I go for drinks and karaoke. Always have great staff and are consistent with their mix drinks and food. I recommend this bar to all my college friends, and even my family when we travel to Terre Haute.

Years ago I loved the pizza here. I just ordered one tonight, and after sticker shock at seeing the price, I went ahead and ordered a 16″ sausage pizza. It came to $29.36 which included a $3 delivery tip. What arrived was a pizza that wasn’t even as good as a frozen pizza from the grocery store. For one, it was ice cold and looked like a pizza that had been sitting out for a couple hours. But the flavor was just bland. Even my kid hated it, and he loves any pizza I get. This place has really gone downhill. I wouldn’t pay $7 for the pizza I got. Never again. There are much better pizza joints in Terre Haute, with much better pizza, for less money.
In response to Ballyhoo – Thanks for clarifying. Yes, Doordash has ruined pizza delivery. You can’t order a decent pizza anymore without paying almost as much for the delivery as the price of the pizza. But the statement about being able to buy much better pizza for the money… try Paloni’s. You’ll see what I mean. I leave their pizza in my cold oven overnight, and even cold it is a great pie.
I used to get Ballyhoo pizza when I was 30 years younger, and I used to love it. It was a lot better pizza back then. A lot more sausage, more sauce, and a lot better flavor. The pizza I got was really bland.
I raised this to 3 stars simply because I feel for you on the Doordash craziness. But come on… put some more love into your food.

This place is an institution. You cannot go to Indiana State University and not traverse Ballyhoo Tavern. Some of the best pizza in all of Terre Haute. It also is a full bar with amazing cocktails and draft selections.

The badly is your typical college bar. Your feet may stick to the floor when you walk. You may be packed in like sardines but this is where you go on Thursday nights to get your $1 wells. Or on Fridays to get entered into a drawing to receive a free pizza. The bally is a fun local place where students from ISU, Rose Hulman, Ivy Tech and Saint Mary’s go to hangout.

This place was friendly. Typical bar food. I was there on a Thursday afternoon so I can’t accurately judge this place. The service could have been more attentive. I didn’t want to appear to be high maintenance when I made a request for silverware or napkins. However, during lunch the staff neglected to check to see if I had basic utensils. The personality of the staff was welcoming.
