I went to Bagels 1 for the first time a couple days ago. I purchased a veggies sub. It was delish! I must say I was truly impressed by their urgency I’m assisting their customers. Everyone behind the counter was extremely nice. Surprisingly the customers were also nice. It was if they knew it was my first time there. The customers explained away about how good the foid and service is. The bagels and muffins are huge! You get your money’s worth. The fact that everything is authenticity baked and made on site is enough for me! The next day my sister and I went back because I bragged about my experience. Bagels 1 will definitely be on our go to restaurants list!

The food is fine (can’t say it’s packed with flavor; though I will say the bagels have always been great in the past) and the service is okay, but I think the real reason for the 3 star review is absolutely the “side” you get with your hot sandwich. (See photo attached). I realize it’s not extra cost, but I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a side in a condiment cup at any other restaurant.

I have mixed feelings on this place. On one hand, the chicken parm was delicious. On the other hand it took me 30 minutes to get it after ordering while waiting 10 minutes to order it. Mind you the place was not busy and there was plenty of staff. I just can’t see myself coming back with that kind of service, at least not regularly or to dine in. If the to go orders are reasonably timed I would consider getting that instead but I’m so put off from this experience that I won’t try again for a while.

It’s a shame reading past negative reviews. Went for bagels and pastries. They were very busy, but the lines and orders kept moving along, including special requests from many patrons, myself included.
These requests were only met with a smile and not one “eye-roll”!
Food is delicious and options are in abundance!

Bagels are fresh and delicious. The prepared dinners to take home are pricey but well worth it. Fast and friendly service. My favorite is the sausage fried egg and cheese on an everything bagel. The Italian cookies, cakes, and sweets are a must have! I also love there hot lunch Gyros, Italian subs, and platters.

Waited well over 45 minutes for 2 egg sandwiches…had my name for my order initially then somehow lost my name?? Called out BEC sandwich but with NO name (all of a sudden my name disappeared) asked for lightly toasted on bagel but it was basically burned and overly crisp. This place does Not care about your order and will give you anything and expect you to just deal with it…never coming here again… honestly McDonald’s is just as good…

Long time customer but not after today. Last time we bought bagels have were way undercooked. This time when we ordered they tried to give our order to someone who hadn’t ordered yet. Tried several times to explain in English and Spanish and lady would not listen. I had to raise my voice to the point people were looking to get her to listen to me instead of the other guy. Then she had an attitude the entire time we selected the bagels for our dozen. She was talking to another worker and not listening to my wife order. Left and counted the bagels and she only gave us 11 instead of 13 in bakers dozen. Would not recommend at all anymore. They also had issues with other customers ahead of us.

I only go here out of pure convenience. The bagels are decent but the service is crap.
I had to repeat my request for a BEC on a buttered roll 4x only to handed a roll with butter on it.
I have been going here for years and if there was any competition in the area, I would go there.

We recently relocated to NC from FL. Originally from NY. We were very excited about finding this bagel place. But after today we will not be back. I waited over 40mins. for my to go order. Got home and my husband was eating half of the BEC sandwich and found a crumbled up receipt in his sandwich. On the other half the egg is discolored and the eggs are always over cooked. They charged $4 for a fountain soda. Sorry but that’s extreme. Very disappointed and disgusted. They need to change their flow of how they get the orders out. There were customers that ordered after me and were done before mine. They missed my sandwiches and then did a really bad job.

Placed a delivery order, only 1 of 3 bagels arrived. Called to kindly ask the store about the other bagels, was placed on hold twice for 20 minutes. Voicemail is full and can’t get in touch with anyone. Disappointing experience from this business we have supported and raved about for many years.
Update: my husband drove there to ask for a refund since we couldn’t speak with anyone over the phone. There were 4 people in the restaurant and an empty parking lot, so it’s very frustrating we wasted so much time being on hold. Manager was sitting in a booth nearby and told the employee to just refund us. We would have loved to share this with the manager but customer experience doesn’t seem to be valued here any longer.
Further update: we were never refunded, had to call again and spent 20 more minutes on the phone only to be refunded $8 of the $26 order. Crazy.
