Welcome to Backyard Bistro at Charlotte Crossings. The latest venture of long time restauranteurs and former La Villa Bistro owners, Adam and Jill Spell. Join us for a cocktail and a bite in our newly built bar, dining room and tented outside seating as well as lawn seating in Charlotte. Enjoy fresh dishes prepared in kitchen and pizza oven. Grab a friend and come down to listen to live music (events to be scheduled). Our American Fusion vibe will still carry over some favorites from La Villa as well resurect some fan favorites from Auggies Island Grill. Dine-in, take out and catering services are available. Also booking events such as Rehersal dinners and Birthday Parties in the outside tent. We look foward to welcoming you!

We ordered takeout & were super impressed with the food. The smashburger was slightly smoky, the fresh & fluffy bun was grilled, & the fries were SUPER good. OThe fried chicken sammich was similarly excellent – same bun, big juicy fried thigh. We chose a salad w/this one, & it came with crisp greens, sliced almonds, chevre & a light vinaigrette. Both these sammiches made us want to return & eat in!

One of my favorite go-to spots! Everything was delicious as always, attentive serving staff and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend the crispy Brussels sprouts, fish tacos and the homemade pretzels with beer cheese. And for dessert you can’t get anything better than the chocolate lava cake with their house made peanut butter cup gelato.

Great little spot had a cozy atmosphere and food was great. The waitress was great as well and very attentive. I had the fish tacos which were very good. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Was not impressed with this restaurant. The lobster roll was good, but not spectacular. The Bolognese had no flavor, seemed like the only sauce was the grease from the meat. The dishes were very small and we both easily cleaned our plates and were still hungry. I think everyone is just excited to finally have a restaurant in Charlotte, but not worth the cost. We won’t be back.

Gotta say Backyard Bistro is going on the list of go to restaurants between Middlebury and Burlington. Just got home from a really quality meal. Calamari was flavorful with a kick, and the pulled pork mac and cheese is enough for 2 ppl to share as an entre. Looking forward to sitting at the great big bar next time with the fantastic stone bar top. Laid back atmosphere where you can dress up or down and it’s all good. Outdoor area in the summer months is very cozy and therea even space for kids to run around in the grass behind the covered patio with lawn games.

Our server was great, super attentive and very friendly. Even complimented our kids on how polite they were. Lobster Mac & Cheese was fantastic, lobster pieces were huge. Burgers were perfectly done, and well flavored. Chicken tacos were a little “caucasian” in flavor, but we asked for cilantro, limes, and some spice, and there were pretty good. Will definitely go back and sample more of the menu.

This is my new favorite place! Such a nice big patio and the food and drinks we’ve had have been awesome. As a gluten-allergic vegetarian the menu is pretty limited for me but their GF pizza crust and Provencal pizza is one of the best I’ve had (and there’s a lot of great pizza in these parts). Last night there was live music and it was just perfect. It’s been hopping both times I’ve gone so definitely recommend a reservation.

Excellent Service, nice atmosphere. Food tasted great, enjoyed the Brussel sprout starter although I chose the mac n cheese for my main and would have liked it a little thicker – the pasta was swimming in melted cheese. I would definitely return next time I am in town.

Just moved to the neighborhood and went for the first time a couple of weeks ago. We got the fried chicken sandwich, calamari and smash burger. We sat at the bar, bartender was very attentive and nice! Everything was so good and did not disappoint. The chicken sandwich was my favorite 🙂
