My first visit here and it was great. The server was amazing. Friendly, attentive without hovering, and took great care of us. The food was sooooooo good. I had the quesadilla with pulled pork and some sweet potato fries and they were amazing! My man had the 2 meat sandwich with sausage and brisket which was delicious. We will definitely be going back.

Disappointing Experience Despite a Great Location
Backyard BBQ is in a convenient, easy-to-find spot, which gave me high hopes going in. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t quite measure up.
Service was very slow. We spent more time waiting for food and attention than actually eating. Most of the menu was unavailable, which was a letdown. The food itself was just okay, not bad, but not enough to make up for the rest.
The atmosphere was a bit lackluster, and overall, it felt like things just weren’t running smoothly. They definitely have potential, but this visit missed the mark. I probably won’t be back, and I wouldn’t recommend it based on this experience.

First menu didn’t have any prices on it. We were advised no French fries, no onion rings, no chicken ,etc. we asked since they didn’t have those sides could we get mushrooms as a side at no extra price she said yes. Still no prices mentioned. Three burgers with mushrooms and 2 deserts $75 not to include tip. I really don’t recommend this place

My family ate dinner here and the food and service was exceptional!
I had the Fried Catfish Basket with a Side Salad and Thousand Island Dressing! The fish was hot and crispy with plenty of flavor.
My daughter had the Hand Cut 16 oz. Ribeye with a Sid Salad with Ranch Dressing.
The steak was cooked just right. It wasn’t overly seasoned and tasted great with a little salt added served with a side of Green Beans.
My grandson had the Fried Onion Burger with Fries. The onion rings on the burger gave it a tasty crunch and extra flavor. Fries were crispy on the outside and hot and soft on the inside.
We had an order of Fried Mushrooms with Ranch! That’s my favorite.
We got a half Smoked Chicken to go and tasted it when we got home! It was moist and tender with a smoky flavor.
Our waiter was totally Awesome! He was right there if we needed anything and made sure our drinks were full. He had our to go order ready when we finished our meals.
Overall, today was a 10 out of 10.
We will definitely be back!

This place is always busy. I finally talked the family into trying it out, and we were not disappointed. The food was served pretty quickly and was delicious. I did notice that they have made some changes to their menu, but they still offer almost everything. I recommend this place if you’re looking for something new, and it seems to be a real gem. It’s a little bit tucked away, so it won’t be seen by accident. I’m glad we visited this restaurant and we will go back for sure.

I come here every year and led a ride of bikers. This visit certainly did not disappoint. Jordan, our server was exceptional. The chicken fried steak did not disappoint. It was as delicious as ever. Jordan even offered up some banana pudding fresh out of the mixing bowl with fresh vanilla wafers. Crunch and fresh bananas. O MY GOD. Everyone in my group enjoyed their meals. Thanks for making me look good after leading a 365 mile ride.

Well I’ve been coming back to this place at least once a year because it’s been so good. I love the chicken Fried steak. It was good this time but It was to soaked in grease and the breading wasn’t as crispy as it should be. Not to mention they’re passing on the cost of doing business to their customers charging us to 3% for using a card. For this reason I won’t come back.

Update– I am riding down again tomorrow- 4th of july 2018 – my wife and i on my new goldwing. (new to me) This is our place to go for a days worth of riding. This is “our” spot now.
I drove 150 miles for some chicken fried steak. I was not disappointed. Big steak home made gravy was out of this world. Home made onion rings were top notch.
I seem someone getting s brisket topped baked potato and that thing looked like a football. Well worth the ride.

Wow I drive thru and get drinks all the time and get sausage wraps and a drink and they charge 1.00 each for the drinks. Tonight I ordered food and they tell me they charge 2.99 for each drink if you’re ordering food.

We were looking for a place to eat while visiting Belton on a Sunday night, Father’s Day. Many places were closed. We decided to give this place a try. It was quaint with a rustic flair, with seating at picnic tables. It was pretty busy for 7 pm on a Sunday. Food was excellent. Two of us ordered Bubba’s Tatter (huge stuffed potato) and another ordered the sliced brisket sandwich and “Bubba’s Fries.” Whoever Bubba is, he must be able to eat because all portions were huge. Really good food! We will be back!

The restaurant had a new but definitely stayed true to the texas bbq joint vibe. We were just passing through, it was easy to tell it is well known by the locals. The service was great, attentive waiter and the food was pretty good. My brisket was pretty good (a little dry but nothing thay would qualify as a deal breaker). I wouldn’t think twice about going back when in town.
