I don’t compliment food from the vegetable family all that often, but their Kale Caesar….? Magnifico! So good. Love the crunchies on the top. I would be very pro-salad if they all tasted like this one.

The pizza is absolutely amazing and they sell their crust for $3. They had one almond croissant left so we bought it and I hardly could eat my pizza before I devoured it! It was literally one of the most amazing things I have ever eaten in my life! Unfortunately they said they don’t always have them. Why???? You could sell those to every coffee shop in the area. They are AMAZING. Your chocolate croissants are pretty amazing as well but those almond ones. Wow.

I don’t eat a lot of bread but in May I purchased one of their Blonde sourdough loaves at the LL farmers market. It was too done and had burnt taste on edges. Their line is always so long. Today I went by and sampled another the taste is good and thought well let’s give them another try. Guess I should have taken the loaf out of the sack and examined because it was burnt even more than the last one. The edges are too hard and tastes burnt. Guess I will let others purchase and pass them by.

First place I’m going back to if I’m ever in town again! WOW was everything we got delicious or what! Best avocado toast ever thanks to the incredible bread, tons of avocado, lemon, and other delicious toppings.

I just had the MOST amazing pastry I’ve ever had from this place. My first thought was, “Is it a croissant, or baklava?” After further sleuthing through my mouth hole…turns out it was the best of both! Perfectly crispy, flaky, and crunchy on the outside…. While the center provided a delicate, pillowy softness with just the right touch of honey I wasn’t expecting, yer never knew I missed! To top it off, this scrumptiousness was gifted to me, as they what’s do, because I merely made a delivery of some if their high quality ingredients.

But make no mistake, this bakery is the real deal. I called my wife immediately afterwards and shared with her that it was the best thing I’d tasted in a long time. Not sure how she felt about that but…. Damn it was good. 5 stars

Back Pocket Bakery is an absolute gem in Coeur d’Alene! The food here is nothing short of amazing—artisan sourdough bread that’s perfectly baked, pastries that are both creative and delicious (the lemon-blueberry scone is a must!), and wood-fired pizzas with crusts so good you’ll remember them long after.

The service is just as impressive. Every visit feels welcoming and personal, and I have to give a huge shout-out to Skylar—friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready with a great recommendation. Skylar’s positive attitude and genuine care make the whole experience even better.

Yes, it gets busy (because it’s that good), but it’s worth every minute. If you’re in Coeur d’Alene and haven’t tried Back Pocket Bakery yet, you’re missing out!

I had the opportunity to stop in the Back Pocket Bakery the other day and have lunch. Th bakery is located in downtown CDA. They offer pizzas,  sandwiches, salads and baked goods. We had the turkey sandwich special with the kale salad, which my wife really loved. If you haven’t ever been into the Back Pocket Bakery, stop by and give it a taste.

Back Pocket is a super special place. Just magical.

They’ve got a whole vibe going on, laid back atmosphere and awesome music. It’s literally one of the coolest places in town. The staff are friendly and laid back as well.

Their bread and pastries are delicious, BEST chocolate chip cookies. Plus the cinnamon rolls are freakin amazing.

I love that they make it a priority to use non GMO flour and bake the bread sourdough style, without adding any oils. The city loaf (my favorite) contains butter, but that’s not toxic like the seed oils and canola oils that are added to most commercial breads.

Amazing drink selection as well. They have unique sodas, ciders, and even non alcoholic cider.

They also make sandwiches and pizza. The birria grilled cheese was off the charts incredible.

If you want to make sure you can bring home a specific loaf of bread, do call ahead to reserve it.

There is always a line out the door every morning when they open at 10 am.

And, no wonder!

10/10 – no other place like it.

Amazing pizza and delicious bread!! We got the vodka pizza and an upside down (the Detroit style pizza squares) and both were incredible! The sauce on both was so flavorful! Also got a HUGE piece of focaccia and giant soft pretzel for $5 each. Great value and absolutely worth the trip!!

We make a 30 min trip across state borders several times a month specially for this bakery and what it has to offer…and they have all the great food that your soul can crave to offer. Specially their pizzas, sweets, and breads. Nice cozy family atmosphere. So far nobody has beat their taste and quality within 200 mile radius!
