Baby Shane is named after the daughter of Rev. Jake and Mrs. Curtis Edwards Jr. Her Mother would call her Baby and her Daddy called her Shane. Thus, inspired the name; Baby Shane. With the recipes of Vera Vickerson, AKA, (BEA) and Mrs. Curtis Edwards, the birth of Baby Shane Southern Fried Chicken came into being. At Baby Shane Southern Fried Chicken we strive to provide that delicious, crunchy, juicy, and home- made taste, their Daughter grew up with.

We had the chance of trying this place for the first time today. I was able to place my order over the phone. We ordered the 12 piece family meal with fries and onion rings for sides. We also ordered collard greens and peach cobbler as well. Everything was delicious I wish I’d ordered more greens. Get the greens!! I’m going back next week and will be back even more.

It’s hard to get us to say everything was good at a restaurant. The red velvet cake was top notch!!!! We live in Florida and I would pay to get that cake shipped to me. Shame you have to wait damn near a hour for fish and fries. This is the first time visiting this restaurant and probably my last. Would have came out better going to Hip Hop. At least the service is quick!!

Smothered porkchop, rice, mac and cheese, real collard greens, roll and a drink included. No long wait, affordable and decent portions. My only negative comment is that wish I had the option to get another vegetable instead of two starches. That may only be because I used Doordash. I didn’t experience their face-to-face customer service, but when the dasher called to let me know they were out of sweeet potato pie, (I got pound cake instead) they asked the dasher to thank me for doing business with them. That meant a lot to me. The food was totally yummy, I will order again and recommend you give them a taste too.
