Growing up in the ’70s and ’80s, I endured way too many meals at Holiday Inns and their (in)famous cousins, Holiday Inn Holidomes (cue Buffett’s “Cheeseburger in Paradise”). So, normally I stay very far away from restaurants inside hotels and resorts. I only went to Azteca II based upon a recommendation by local upstanding citizens, RC and Suzie. And it surpassed my (admittedly-low) expectations. Huge variety of Mexican dishes, great staff, and a vibe that almost makes you forget that you are in a huge resort in Cocoa Beach. The only problem is that there are so many amazing Mexican restaurants on the Space Coast that this one may not draw me back. But who knows. They do have a great HH (BOGO drafts and margaritas)! If you are staying at the resort, it is too convenient not to check out, but if you are not staying at the resort, see my reviews for other Mexican joints that get my vote if you are feeling like Mexican tonight (and who isn’t?!).

They are like family. Best fresh food, warm hospitality plus great location on the beach and very affordable. Fun bar too with great happy hour. I always eat too many chips and salsa but they are so delicious. We celebrated my mom’s 80th Birthday and they worked so hard to make it extra special. 5 stars isn’t enough. Plenty of parking. And it’s super duper clean.

Great restaurant, but confusing to find. It’s inside “The Resort on Cocoa Beach”. The staff was great and accomodating. We enjoyed the combination fajita with steak, chicken, and shrimp. Only concern was we purchased the fajita for 2pp and the serving was really for 1. We compared fajita to our friends dish for 1 it was the same portion. Do not recommend to purchase fajita for 2, it’s much more money and same portion. Purchase individually so you can enjoy. Tamale was good but also the smallest tamale I have ever eaten. Food was great, highly recommend when in Cocoa Beach.

After moving here from New Mexico 4 months ago, we have been searching for good Mexican food. This place has the best Mexican food we have found. It’s a little taste of home. Good food with a good price. This is the only restaurant I would take family that comes to visit and wanting Mexican food.

Look no further for real and fabulous Mexican food! Tucked away in The Resorts of Cocoa Beach is Azteca II. This is not the original Azteca in Brevard but it is the last one remaining. Same family has owned it for decades. Look closely, you will see there is NO ground beef Tex/Mex garbage on top of my food. This not an ordinary hard shell taco. The salad looks ordinary but if you order the house dressing it is not.

Friendly bartender. Great happy hour prices. 2-4-1 tap beer and house margaritas. Prices are very reasonable. Restaurant is located inside Resort, but is available to those who are not staying on-site.
