NOT ATV/UTV/motorcycle friendly! We just stopped in today on ATV’s and they only do drive thru service. They literally will not let you even order at the window. So they turned away a group of teens who had walked up before us, our group of ATV’s, and a gentleman on a motorcycle after us. We’d eaten here a few years ago and thought we’d enjoy it again, but no such luck. However, the pizza parlor down the road has great food, is priced well, and it’s right on the ATV accessible road!

Chicken tenders are delicious with a different flavorful breading, REALLY good. We had burgers, coney (chili with cheese) hot dogs, fries and polar swirls. The service was relatively slow, but most food served hot. You can sit in your car and order from the speakers or walk up or go through the drive-thru. There are picnic tables as well. Root beer is the BEST! I like the variety of ice cream options; twist cone; vanilla or chocolate or twist or a turtle Sunday or a polar chill; oreo, m&m, cookie dough or reeses flavors… A&W is a nice option for a relatively quick meal in Iron River. Eat here at least once a week or so. Used to enjoy the burgers but the last few months the buns altogether are using are so thick it is way to much for the thin burger. Go back to the older buns. Also they usually get the order wrong. Either forget the ketchup or onions or salt. Wish they would put nuts on the sundaes. Sometimes the burgers taste like they were premade. Cold not hot off the grill.

Fantastic A&W! We just happen to be driving through and had to stop when we saw the drive in. Burgers, fries, malts, and root beer were excellent. Chocolate malt was amazing!

I don’t ever remember having a burger in the past at A&W – but then again it’s been many, many years since I’ve dined at an authentic A&W Drive-In. The car-hop was friendly, polite, knowledgeable and quick with the meal. The fries were a bit greasy and I finally took a look at the number of calories. Yikes! But then again, I’m not eating here as part of a healthy diet (not a bad thing – once in a while).
I didn’t get a frosty mug – but I remember them being much larger. Very tasty meal. Highly recommended.

This poor fella is working here all by himself, and he still managed to gety bacon cheeseburger out to me in less than 3 minutes (and it was DELICIOUS). I hope he doesn’t feel too overworked. The sign on the window said starting pay was 11 to 15 dollars per hour, so if you’re reading this and you need a job, GO APPLY!!!! And if you come here to get food, be nice!
