During a day trip to Wichita on February 2026, we found ourselves at the Century II. From there, AVI Seabar and Chophouse is just a block away, and we had it marked as a restaurant to visit when we were in the area. Since it was close to Valentine’s Day, the restaurant and staff had made a few changes to be ready for the increased traffic. I am not sure if reservations are required or suggested any other day of the year, but during our visit a reservation was required. I misplaced the name of our server; i can tell you that she was very attentive and cordial. This time we ordered Beau’s blueberry Old fashioned and AVI Perfect Sangria for drinks, followed by a Crab cake, and Chicken Tacos for appetizer. For the main entrees we also ordered a Pan Seared Red Snapper, and a Blackened Salmon with Creamed Potatoes. and finally for dessert we had a Bailey’s Creme Brulee. Everithing was delicious and the portions were adequate. We will definitely keep this restaurant on the list of restaurants to return.

What a fantastic dining experience at AVI! Our server, Manna absolutely stole the show — sharp, knowledgeable, and full of energy, making the whole evening that much better. The food didn’t disappoint either! My ribeye was cooked to perfection, and the bacon Brussels sprouts were a crispy, flavorful dream. The fish tacos were delicious too, though I found myself wishing their green crème sauce had as much character as the Brussels sprouts’ fun side sauce — a little more zest and it’d be perfect. Overall, highly recommend the AVI experience — great food, great vibes, and truly standout service.

We celebrated a retirement of a colleague at AVI Seanad and Chophouse and their expert advice, helpful suggestions and outstanding service team made the evening a wonderful send off for our friend. I called and spoke to Peter who helped make the arrangements. He asked my price point then made suggestions for the size of the party. The menu was excellent and many folks remarked they would return soon for the delicious appetizers and perfectly cooked entrees. Above all else was the quality of service. Manna and Danielle were outstanding, attentively serving and providing their suggestions and making sure our whole party was able to enjoy the evening. Shannon, the manager stopped by at intervals to check on our progress and she helped make the evening very special with stories of the AVi restaurant. We used the private room for the dinner which comfortably sat our group of 15. It was a little loud I. The room but part of that was because folks were sharing stories and laughter. Overall a wonderful experience and I will definitely contact AVI for future events.

– The food is always on point. Try the shrimp and grits and get addicted. Flavor overload and the best I’ve ever had. Very filling meal at a reasonable cost and the menu has something for everyone.

– Peter, the manager, is awesome every time! I’ve been there several times over the last few years and he always brightens our night.

– The ambiance is amazing and really exudes class and elegance. Fancy enough to fit in if you’re dressed up, but you can also wear a pair of jeans or sweats and not get any dirty looks.
The restaurant is connected to the most historical hotel in downtown Wichita, the Drury Plaza Hotel Broadview. Book a night there away from the kids and go have a great meal next door at AVI.

– AVI is the perfect place for a date night or simply to have a quality meal. Also, there is some seating upstairs that has a more private feel to it.

I’ll continue to come to this hidden gem of a Wichita restaurant. If you haven’t tried AVI Seabar & Chophouse, get there and try it!!

This was our first time dining here and it won’t be the last. This restaurant exceeded our expectations. I’m sorry I couldn’t give more than 5 . Portions are huge and have so much flavor. We started with a crab cake and lobster spinach artichoke dip. We finished both which rarely happens. My husband got the pork chop and loaded baby yukon potatoes. There’s an option for one or two chops. Unless you are feeding a small village, only get one. They are huge! Cooked perfectly and so juicy which is practically unheard of. I got the blackened shrimp tacos. The shrimp were also perfectly cooked – tender and not chewy or rubbery and the perfect amount of seasoning. If you get the fries, make sure you get the truffle aoli to go with them.
Our waiter Christian was also excellent. He saw my water glass low before I did. He was friendly and attentive but not overbearing.
We will definitely be back!

I rarely will give out a five star but this one was worth it. I didn’t have this place on my list to try in Wichita but just went for it because it was close to our hotel. So glad I did. Everything we got was very good. The coconut seared pork belly and Brussels appetizer was delicious. The pork belly was cooked perfect and so were the Brussels and bacon. Main course I got the lamb chops. In the demi glacé and by itself the lamb chops were damn near perfect. The creamed potatoes were some of the best I’ve had. My buddy got the burger and he reported it was one of his top burgers, two thumbs up.

Finally I have to give a special shoutout to our waitress Sarah. She dealt with our stupid banter famously even my Canadian Mexican friend who has a mouth on him. She also did say I’m her favorite customer she’s ever had which I appreciate.

Definitely go here. Stop looking for another spot. Just go already.

I went here on lunch today like i do on most weekdays. They are typically always slow when it comes to bringing your food out which I’ve grown to be okay with. However today i received the worst service. I believe her name is Stacy which i only knew from my receipt because she did not greet me. Today was not nearly as busy as I’ve seen it before. She ignored me the entire time i tried to get extra silverware because each roll was dirty. I then went to ask a different server and he said he’d get me plastic but never came back while my server is clearly ignoring me. I waited 20 min asked the what it looked to be manger for the same thing and he just looked lost. Really disappointed in AVIs staff today besides the hostess.

One of the best pastas I have had. Their drinks are amazing, service was great and it is affordable compared to other places in town. I definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice restaurant with delicious food. I ordered pasta primavera with shrimp and it was a 10/10.

Disappointed. We made reservations and went on Valentine’s day, understanding there was a set menu. Everyone was very nice and we were seated right away, but then we were rushed through all 4 courses in about 30 minutes. There were multiple people coming to take plates with food still on them, and after the initial glass of champagne we were not offered refills or other drinks. The entrée choices were between lobster or salmon with the tenderloin, but we were told the salmon was unavailable, that they might have more in another half hour – it was 6 pm. The food was good, but nothing exceptional. The place has a nice atmosphere, we just wanted to relax and enjoy it but felt too hurried by the staff. Maybe give it a try on a regular evening, just don’t plan to stay for long.
