Aux Anysetiers du Roy is a beautiful, quaint, and thoroughly delightful restaurant. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming—warm, playful, and genuinely attentive. It felt exactly like the French countryside bistro I had always imagined, tucked perfectly into the heart of Paris.

The food was outstanding. The foie gras was nothing short of heavenly, and the duck breast with honey and raisins was rich, perfectly cooked, and absolutely delicious.

We had a wonderful experience here and would wholeheartedly recommend it. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

We chose this restaurant as every time we have visited Paris we go to La Jacobine, but this time that was closed. Looking for homemade real french dishes we found this place. They are very very kind and organized with service, the food is just awesome, onion soup better than the one in the place we wanted to replace, like no other, real real good. Rabbit and beaf meats were so juicy and soft than they melt in your mouth. Dessert is a five star here, do not skip it or at least order one and share but try it!!! You must!! They are glorious! Would go to this restaurant again if we visit Paris in the future again.

What a little gem in the city of Paris! And when I say “little”, I mean it – this place had about 7-8 tables in total. Our server was a friendly older woman who was also the chef (and owner?!). There was a sous-chef. The food was delicious! We ordered the French onion soup, escargot (my first time trying it and I liked it!), warm goat cheese and almonds salad, coq a vin, beef Bourgogne, and the crème brûlée. And of course, champagne. The coq a vin and beef looked verrrry similar, but upon further review and tasting, they were not (duh). The bathroom upstairs was simple but the coolest feature was a really old sink! The building was old and after visiting the Louvre, I wondered how old were the paintings on the walls. Check this place out! Cute little shops nearby (bought a leather purse at a wonderful rate!) and gelato.

I always recommend this restaurant to my tourists, because of unusual atmosphere of this place. The location is in the middle of the historical district Saint-Louis, which also makes it so special.

You can have impression that you eat homemade food lovely prepared by your French grandmother :)))

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Paris. The medieval setting is worth all the money. Most importantly, I did not expect the food to taste so incredible. The dishes may appear simple, yet they are cooked to be uniquely flavorful. To top it all off, I paid a visit on my birthday and the server brought me my tarte tatin I had ordered with a candle and he sang along. It was one of the most special birthdays I have had. Eventually my friend and I ended up making friends with the other people next to us, so the atmosphere was definitely wonderful and lively. From the dishes I can recommend the onion soup and the chicken fricasse, and when I return I would like to try the sirloin steak with vegetables. I cannot wait to visit here again!

Excellent totally trad French restaurant run by a couple of old pro’s. Food is absolutely on point for classic French dishes like Beef Bourgignon, Coq, Lapin, Tarte Tatin etc. Low fuss not overly poncey. Great place for a quality meal.

We were warned before travelling to France that the servers there can be cold… even though that may be untrue, the server here was as far from that as you could possibly be! He was an endless supply of dad jokes, cutting people’s meals for them, and going out of his way to serve.

We think it’s an older couple who run it; the husband does the serving and the wife makes all the meals by herself. The lower level was full when we visited but we still received our meals in a reasonable amount of time. How she cooks all that, I have no idea!

The medieval theme may look like a tourist trap when you first walk in but it adds so much charm to the old building (even the visit to the WC!). The menu is full of classic French dishes and we enjoyed the rabbit and cassoulet.

Only downside is the popularity and size of this place means you are pretty much sitting banquet style with the other guests so there is very little private conversation possible.

So happy to have made this our final meal of Paris!
