I think I reviewed Athens before and gave it 3 stars; I feel I should bump it up one. The reasons I gave it three stars — and they’re still valid concerns — is that their burgers don’t come with fries, and their dessert options aren’t great. But… You know what does come with fries? Their cheese steaks. And those are better anyways. (Truly, theirs are as good as or better than 90% of the cheese steaks at other restaurants.) And the first time, I don’t think I gave enough weight to their customer service, which has always been excellent in my five visits so far. My waitress during my latest visit was a real cutie patootie, and very helpful. And the lady who I assume is the manager or owner is a mind reader.

Athens restaurant, a “go to” breakfast restaurant for the locals. The service is excellent as they delegate coffee and water to runners giving servers time to deliver a great personable experience. Conveniently located near Aultman hospital, the decor is very interesting and fun. The breakfast is consistently good with a robust menu with an added Greek flare. The Athens experience goes beyond breakfast, if you get there early the baked chicken homemade by ya-ya ( Greek grandmother) is spectacular, my wife has ordered for breakfast. The Greek experience continues with their amazing homemade cookies. Leave room to enjoy a cookie with your coffee which they never let the cup run empty.

40 years we have lived here and this is the first time we have been here. It will not be the last! From the second we walked in the door, until the moment we left, every single person was friendly, smiling, and hustling! Got us a table cleaned and set, sat down, and food ordered within 10 minutes. They were just so friendly and fast. The food was GREAT! We can’t wait to make this our new favorite breakfast place.
