We found this gem and we are so glad we stopped! Tyson and team were fantastic. They were extremely friendly and accommodating. When Tyson heard we needed to keep our drinks cold he threw in a cooler for us packed with ice and water. What a surprise on a hot day in July!
Scanning the menu it sure was hard to decide. I asked for a rec and Tyson said the Caprese Sandwich with Chicken added. What an explosion of flavor that turned out to be. It was a July Fireworks show of Italian flavors in my mouth. I’m still thinking of that sandwich hours later. Man it hit the spot. The fries were great too.
Oh, and the homemade pita bread and hummus? I would drive out of my way for that alone.
The kids got burgers and they were out of this world. You can’t beat well made home made burgers that are fresh and packed with flavor.
If you are going to Warren Dunes like we were and you want fantastic local food for your picnic lunch, this is the spot.
If you are just driving down I-94 and you are hungry, you will be so glad you chose Arrow’s Point Eatery. It’s a destination in itself!
However, with each subsequent visit, I’ve noticed a decline in quality. The attention to detail that made my first experience so memorable seems to have faded. Most disappointing is the change in fries—from those delicious waffle fries to a bland, basic fast food fry. It’s a small change that’s had a big impact on the overall experience. The new fries are uninspired and lack the unique flavor that once set the restaurant apart.
It’s disheartening to see a place that showed such promise fall into mediocrity. While I understand that restaurants evolve, this feels like a step in the wrong direction. I hope they can bring back the quality and creativity that made them a standout in the first place.
Excellent service – owner operated. Order online to have it waiting or order in person and tell em exactly what you want. Eatery consists of a pickup window.
Good “to go” packaging if you’re heading to the beach or back to work. Eatery only has picnic seating outside, with sun umbrella, which is fine and suited to cooler days.
Prices are high to normal, depending on location. For 4 meals with appetizer and drinks, we paid about $80. The menu looks and reads well. Small and straight to the point, which many places fail to do with their novel like menus. I had high hopes for some good food. After all their service was awesome, very friendly staff, but the food was not what I expected. 2 of us had fish and chips, which both came out soggy with oil, not very crispy, and slightly salty. We also ordered their burger, with no cheese (lactose intolerant) with everything else on it and fries. Fries again soft, soggy, salty, and dry patties with nothing else on them. No garden was added and patties were very under seasoned, which we found odd as everything else was salty. The kids burger was ok according to my child but they’ll eat just about anything and say it’s good…
I really wanted to like this place. As someone who truly appreciates good food and great service, especially from a smaller local establishment, I was just disappointed and $80 not very well spent. One thing I keep seeing is a failure in execution. Everything else can be spot on but if the food isn’t executed correctly it just makes everything else seem like a waste of time. To some this may be their “go to spot” but this isn’t that.
P.s
The slaw with the pineapple was in our opinion better. A little too wet for my taste but it was still good. Sauce seemed to have been breaking maybe due to the pineapple acidity but still good nevertheless.
