What’s going on with this bakery? It used to be so good!
I ordered fish with salad and it took more than 30 minutes, and when they finally brought it, it looked like the picture.
Almost no fish, lots of oil and lots of salad. In other words, the price went up and the quality dropped significantly.

This used to be such a classic Portuguese spot that you didn’t have to go to the Ironbound for. Been visiting lately since spending more time in the area and it’s a whole different experience. I have stood at the register for several minutes and had employees walk by me multiple times and not even acknowledge my presence. This has happened not just once but regularly. The food takes forever to come out and they keep serving people in to go cups instead of glass, making it feel likes fast food restaurant. It has lost its charm and with all the other Portuguese places in the area now I feel less and less compelled to give them my business. What a shame.

This is my favorite bakery to get pastel de nata in the area. The crust is flaky and crispy, and the custard has the right amount of sugar. You can tell they are homemade.

Unfortunately I couldn’t rate them a zero. The place is always slow and today just took the cake!!! My husband’s scrambled egg and bacon came out before my pressed ham & cheese… after 25 minutes of waiting I inquiry about my sandwich… best part is she looks at the grill as if it’s making itself. Never ever going there again

A lot of pastries in this bakery mostly Portuguese. Average prices. A must try is the Nata and the cafe de galón. Recommend.

Great place, great service, great food. The attendant are kind. Large variety of desserts. Good coffee. They serve meals as well, but we were there for breakfast. The prices are fair.

Best pastry shop. I love every pastry. It is so fresh and tasty. It is the one you cannot miss. My friend and I had a beautiful morning at Arcos. The latte coffee are also good. The price is good, much cheaper than NYC.

Arcos Staff: If you can’t stop yourself from coughing onto your customers’ food, then wear a mask. Also, don’t use the same glove to make one customer’s sandwich and a different customer’s pastry. If you’ll cough onto and cross-contaminate my food in front of me, I don’t want to think about how the food is mishandled behind closed doors.
