This place has a few amazing dishes. I would eat here for some sushi, while it’s not my favorite sushi it’s a great overall sushi place. I think it lacks creativity and robust rolls like many other sushi places. However what it lacks in the food category, it makes up in service and atmosphere. Now the bowl of mushrooms was amazing. The sushi rolls were like a 7 outta 10.

We came for restaurant week and it was the perfect experience. They have tons of options and if you’re not well versed, the restaurant week menu is a perfect taste of everything. Ambiance was amazing. Perfect amount of mood lighting without being dark like some restaurants. And not overly loud either. We sat at the sushi bar and that was great to see the chef preparing the sushi. Will definitely be back.

I’ve only eaten at their Midway International Airport location but it is by far the best food I’ve had while traveling. Everything tastes great and is well seasoned. I keep coming back and eat here every chance I get!

Absolutely delicious! It was certainly worth the trip. My far the best sushi I have had in a very, very long time. The staff were all quite nice and knowledge. I can not wait to come back!! Everything was so good especially the otoro!

Did the restaurant week omakase and they did not disappoint. The fish used were so fresh and high quality. Some of them literally melted in my mouth. I enjoyed the fun combination of flavors used and the chef was very helpful, accommodating, and chill. One thing that I wish was different is how often our server kept talking/interrupting us. Otherwise, I would go again for sure.

Such a wonderful meal!! My husband and I got the chicken karaage to start, enjoyed a bottle of sake, then we did the 10-piece omakase. Loved the creative spin on some of the nigiri. Many of the flavors blended so well together, but nothing overpowered the fish, which was great. Some of the freshest fish I’ve ever had. Service was amazing as well.

Overall underwhelmed. The atmosphere was fantastic, but service was slow for our group of four. Off the bat we were told the omakase was unavailable. Several other items we tried to order were unavailable, such as certain apps and cocktails, which would be kind of fine except for the fact that the alternative recommendations didn’t really live up to the lofty descriptions the waiter gave for them. To be fair, the specialty sashimi/nigiri items were excellent; however, the regular maki rolls we got to fill our stomachs seemed relatively low grade for such a nice place. (And the waiter forgot to bring the soy sauce for those maki rolls until we were basically done with them.) I understand that we apparently caught them mid-alteration of the menu (which was why the omakase wasn’t available—fair enough), but that doesn’t excuse providing a dramatically lesser dining experience than expected and planned/paid for. I don’t think I’ll come back—there are too many decent alternatives in the city.

The best higher-end yet accessible sushi spot you could ask for. Super fresh fish, great preparation, huge sake selection, knowledgable staff and absolute top-shelf hospitality. Check out the omakase and the specials. These guys deserve all the love they get and more. A gem.
