LONG PARAGRAPH: Ok listen, I am not one to complain or act like a Karen I promise, as someone who also works in the food industry with and deals with customers I get customers can be a pain sometimes and I try and be very respectful to other food service workers! however last night’s service absolutely SUCKED. Last night I was delivering door dash and got an order to pick up from here, just to pick up 1 combo appetizer! Usually they are super good with DoorDash orders, except for last night…. Enter through the back door and stood there for a good 5-10 minutes, MIND YOU it was not that busy, maybe 3 tables and a few people at the bar… there was a sever about a few tables down having a full on conversation with a table (cool, whatever) still standing waiting multiple other servers PLUS who I assume was the manager keep walking right past me going to the kitchen too fast for me to even say excuse me I’m waiting for an order, I walk past the table with the talking server to go to the hostess table upfront and I try and get their attention…. they just keep on talking like I’m not even there, get up to the front counter and no hostess to be seen, so I try and get the attention of one of the servers that is closer to the front counter, I said excuse me like 3-4 times and she acted like she was too busy to hear me… I had to knock on the counter a few times while saying excuse me and then she finally acknowledges me and I tell her that I’m waiting for an order and I’ve been there for a good 20 minutes now and she just says oh ok, and goes back to what she’s doing, didn’t go back to the kitchen to check or nothing so I frustratingly walk back to where you’re supposed to pick up the order and I start to cry a little in frustration because I’m not being acknowledged (yes I tend to get very emotional and overstimulated in certain situations) I’ve got someone who is counting on me to deliver this ONE thing (and sometimes customers can be impatient) so in my head I’m like my customer is gonna be upset at me because their one item is taking forever and I can’t get anyone not even the manager to acknowledge that I’m there. ANYWAYS,
Another customer noticed that I was upset and asked if everything was okay and I told him what was going on, balling my eyes out in frustration, he immediately understood and god bless him he offered to finally get the manager’s attention by going in the kitchen and FINALLY got some ones attention (again I really appreciate him for that) and finally the bartender acknowledges me too now that the manager is out there and then tells me that it’s still being prepared. Mind you I’m not upset that it’s still been prepared that’s fine…. What upsets me is that HOW THE HELL WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THAT WHEN NO ONE WOULD COMMUNICATE WITH ME????!!!!! COMMUNICATE PEOPLE!!!!!!! I DONT CARE IF THESE SERVERS ARE 16 17 18 19 OR 100 IF YOU SEE A CUSTOMER WAITING ACKNOWLEDGE THEM….. EVEN IF YOU ARE BUSY JUST SAY “ give me just a moment and I will get to you shortly” OR “ give me just a moment and I will get someone who can help you.” It’s not hard man… it’s like none of these servers know how to do their job or don’t know customer service… anyways I wouldn’t be all worked up if someone had communicated in the first place… I finally get my order and the server seems kind of annoyed, then I see her walk to the bartender and over heard their conversation and the bartender had this attitude and had the audacity to say “did she yell at you too?” (As if IM THE PROBLEM and just came there to cause a scene… THAT WAS NOT MY INTENTION) Like I WASNT YELLING TO BE MEAN I WAS LITERALLY TRYING TO GET STAFFS ATTENTION AND YALL KEPT IGNORING ME……
Anyways, Applebees of Prince Frederick…. Yall need to fix some stuff… my review doesn’t seem to be the only one complaining about horrible service, so it looks like you guys should work on training your employees better or maybe stop hiring children… and hire people who actually know how the customer/food industry should operate. DO BETTER Applebees DO BETTER!

The hostess first tired to set me in a folding table booth with a whole side and bar opened. Yes, the table was a folding table. I ordered Sangria and the flies kept coming by. Table was sticky feeling. I did not receive a napkins. Steak was barely cooked. Pretzels were salty and cheese look dried and tasted like squeezed cheese.

I sat for 15 mins and acknowledged by bartender upon sitting down finally asked if i need something to drink. The service is mediocre maybe. The second time the bartender got off at 4 and the next one called in. The manager never offered to help and didnt even know how to make a drink that a server was trying to make. He just walked away. I travel for work and this is hamds down the worst Applebee’s I have been to. The manager is a taller gentleman maybe JJ? All the reviews are adding up to management!!!!

Returned to Applebee’s Prince Frederick, our table was cleaner this time, and the food was okay. We had to wait to be seated so we thought they were busy, not a problem for a Friday evening. But, what we saw were many open tables that were unbussed. There was no hostess available and we never saw a manager. Our waiter was attentive but when our food arrived we had no flatware and had to wait for flatware from the dishwasher. When we did get flatware it was wet and so were the napkins. No additional napkins were provided, we had to ask for some.
Apparently this place needs better management, and staff training.
The food was okay, but a little pricey.
The atmosphere needs some help. The place needs a serious update. We had to wipe the seat back before we could sit and they are uncomfortable. The tables are showing a lot of surface dirt as well as the benches.

Some of the worst food I’ve ever seen come out of a restaurant kitchen, and ridiculously overpriced. Overcooked steak. Old green beans. Wrinkled up mushrooms. Old salad. Paid more than $50 for what amounts to two soggy little t.v. dinners.
We will never be back. Their kitchen manager – if this location even has one – needs to go, and the line cooks need to be retrained.
I can’t imagine this place staying in business much longer.

I recently visited on a Saturday night and had a pleasant experience overall. I decided to sit at the bar and enjoyed a few mixed drinks along with a chicken quesadilla.
The bartender was extremely attentive and accommodating, making sure I had everything I needed throughout my visit. They were friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable about the menu and drink options. Their excellent service added to the overall enjoyment of my dining experience.

I usually have good things to say about this location but today I ordered my child a kids meal and it was not good. We ordered the kids grilled chicken alfredo with the side as mozzarella sticks. First of all they put everything in the same box. Mozzarella sticks just right on top of the pasta. Second, the pasta was super undercooked. The noodles were hard! Then, to top it all off they gave me salsa with the mozzarella sticks instead of marinara sauce. Very disappointed in the order today. Hopefully they will get it back together. I’ve been going to this Applebees for years and it’s never disappointed this much! I gave them 2 stars because I know how good the food can be, today was just an off day I suppose.
