We are in our fifties and stopped here spontaneously for some happy hour drinks and apps on a Thursday evening around 4:30. Ordered some mozzarella sticks, fries and a four beer flight. Everything was fresh, full of taste and reasonably priced for happy hour. We sat at the bar, which was not crowded and our waitress was efficient and friendly. It was decorated nice for Christmas and had a cozy feel to it. It was quiet enough to have a conversation and we are looking forward to going back!

Great experience and ate at the bar- the bartender serving us was wonderful even when it got really busy. generally a good experience although the front hostess did kind of mislead my friend and I- we were there for an event and we wanted to sit down and get some food- we asked if we needed to be seated by them and they said no because every table was reserved and confused we asked “so we can’t get food?” they said no cause the reservations are full and offered no other information. so after standing around awkwardly for a moment thinking that we had to go somewhere else when the bartender asked if we needed anything and we said well we wanted to get food, he said we could order from the bar area- saving the day. But due to the hostess interaction we were very close to leaving….

Enjoyed my stop at ABC in Mechanicsburg. It is a cool spot in a former Hummer dealership building, with a large bar (which was packed on my visit) and plenty of seating. Pleasant, helpful staff. The beer is average, and the food was very good.

Had a great visit on a Friday during a dueling pianos live music event. Fortunately we made reservations as it was completely full. Good sized dining area upstairs and main level with a nice bar along the back wall. Service was great despite the crowd. Food and drinks were delivered quickly. Beer was cold and had a good variety. Had wings and wasn’t really impressed, they seemed to be baked vs normally fried. Live music was great the two were very entertaining. Overall great visit and we will return.

I will start this review out saying that I had been looking forward to visiting this place for weeks! That said my expectations were pretty high. I love their root beer and every time I come to PA I grab multiple six packs to take home. That said the experience of the restaurant was kind of lackluster. The food was pretty good, thank God they had a vegetarian option to switch out Patty’s on the burger, that was a huge plus. However we arrived with a six year old and no children’s menus were ever supplied, we had to ask if they had anything for kids, which we found out they do have kids menus, which made my kid happy, however we didn’t see the menu itself just ordered the chicken strips off of it. The server was nice and helpful but not very attentive. I had asked if I could buy the glasses that our drinks were in, a good cheap souvenir for 3.50 a pop! I was pleased at that. At the end of our visit I had paid our bill with the QR code and apparently the site didn’t charge me the correct amount so I had to pay again. However my bank showed three transactions. They told me two had been voided and to wait a couple of days for it to be refunded. That ordeal is why I gave four stars, since it was kind of annoying if their tech is not up to par why offer it?

All in all I will go back just bc I love the root beer. Hopefully their tech issues will be resolved next time.

First time in this location. Liked the varied seating options and open layout, especially because it was quiet enough for us to hear each other.

Food was delicious. Lamb burger was very flavorful, well cooked, and juicy. Pineapple chicken salad was also delicious. Brewed root beer was tasty. Only negative was the sweet potato fries – they were dry, over cooked, and hard to chew. We sent them back and got the house potato chips which were delicious.

Emma our server was fantastic – personable, attentive, and delightful.

Recommend.

We haven’t been to Appalachian Brewing Company for about 6 years and I was so glad the dining experience was as wonderful as I remembered years ago!

Our server, Alli (spelling?), was fantastic. We had a table of 9 and she answered questions, kept drinks filled and was so polite. Excellent service!

The food… DELICIOUS! We had the malt haus salad, garlic parmesan wings, fiery burger and two soft drinks for $54. It was reasonably priced considering the large portions.

I hope more Central PA folks go enjoy ABC, it’s a nicely decorated, open and tasty spot with great service. Thank you ABC!

Amazing food, great staff and an overall cool place to go. We were seated right away on a Friday at 6 pm and surprisingly it was not super busy or loud. Food was amazing (we had crab dip, blackened shrimp tacos, and Yurt burger). We got cheesecake to go for dessert which was ALSO amazing. Our waitress (and all other staff we worked with) was phenomenal and very friendly. HIGHLY recommend!! We will be coming back for more!

Absolutely loved this place! Great vibes, friendly staff, and an awesome selection of craft beers. Tried a flight and was seriously impressed… the IPAs were standouts, but honestly, everything was solid. The atmosphere is chill and welcoming, perfect for a night out with friends or just relaxing solo.
We also grabbed some bites from the food and it paired perfectly with the brews. They clearly care about quality and you can taste it in every pour.
If you’re into local breweries with character, this one’s a must-visit. Will 100% be back soon!

We stopped here on our way north because ABC is part of an RV hosts program so I could have had a second (or a third!) beer and not have to worry about driving because we’re staying in their parking lot.

We were warmly welcomed and seated immediately. Our waitress was the lovely Allie (sp?) who was sweet and wonderful.

For dinner, Mrs. K. mostly enjoyed their Veggie Gyro. A little heavy on mushrooms and the pita bread was grilled a bit too much but it was otherwise tasty.

I chose the Fire Jumper burger. A little spicier than I expected and perhaps cooked more than I would have liked but the fries were perfectly crispy and very delicious. Great toppings and a good bun.

With it, their On Point Pils was, uh, on point.

Five stars for the beer and the service. The food was good but not great. I would choose Appalachian Brewing Company again for the beers for sure.
