Antica Forma

  4.3 – 2 reviews  $$ • Italian restaurant

We make our pizza the same way they do in Naples Italy, the birthplace of pizza. With cheese made fresh each day in house, an imported Caputo 00 flour, and tomatoes from Italy as our base for our pizzas, our pizzas taste the same as those on the streets of Naples today. Antica Forma would love the opportunity to give you an experience the way pizza was intended.

5 stars all around! Service was prompt, servers were kind, and pizza was probably the best I’ve had. Luis was our server and he was awesome. We sat on the patio with our dog and they had awesome music playing too. Will definitely be back! PS – if you like string lights you’re in for a treat!

Delicious Italian food on Main St. Moab. Delicious food fired pizza and fresh salad. They were able to serve our very large group and take care of us well. The Pistachio Pesto pizza was an especially welcome surprise. I would come again.

Great food!! Gluten free and family friendly options 🙂 we felt the gluten free pizza crust could have been cooked a bit more, it was slightly chewy. Other than that we loved the food!

SUPER popular place. Getting a table was pretty chaotic they will take your number and call you. Service is spotty so the call may not go through. Family friendly restaurant offering a kids menu. We ordered garlic bread for the appetizer it was fantastic, we all enjoyed it. For pies we ordered the pistachio pizza, kids pepperoni, and Antica Forma. Pistachio pizza was wonderful. The crust and flavors were great. Kids pepperoni was delicious with fresh mozzarella. The Antica Forma pizza was a bit disappointing, it was undercooked, the texture was slimy, and the flavors didn’t jive. Service was challenging. Due to high volume of customers, it was hard to get extra napkins, plates, and refills. The wait staff was friendly and working hard so I’m not knocking the effort. Maybe try this place for lunch or on a weeknight. Worth stopping in!

Hit and miss. The cheesy garlic bread is the best I’ve had in years. The chicken on the spinach salad was horribly overcooked and dry as a bone. The pizza crust was tough and hard to eat, but the flavour was good with mushrooms and sausage. Mushrooms superb, but the sausage was very dry and “sandy”. The mozerella on the pizza was very European, which means it doesn’t melt very well. The pizza is very authentic to Napoli pizza, but dry overall. Service not so good — the lemonade refill never came.

Tasty pizza! This is a popular place, so you may need to wait during peak times. Have a large covered outdoor patio and a decent amount of tables inside. We had the veggie pizza, and it was great. Generous amout of toppings. The cheese garlic bread was outstanding. Good beer selection and prices for drafts.

Nail in Pizza – was there with my familiy a few days ago. Food was good but not outstanding. Server was very friendly. Bad review is due to a nail I bit on, which was in my pizza. The server was quick to call the manager. Pizza was free and we got a small discount for the rest but the reaction by the manager was frightening. She explained the nail came from the wood they use in the pizza oven. After suggesting maybe to make sure to use “nailless wood” she replied that she cant ensure that. I think this is unacceptable. Invest in a metal detector if you cant trust your wood vendor. Or just keep the ash/wood away from the pizza

Personal size pizza is definitely enough for 2 people but tasted amazing. Fresh and wholesome ingredients. Seated and served right away. Waitstaff worked hard and very cheerful. We enjoyed eating outside.

Delicious! One of the few spots we tried well in Moab. The pizza was phenomenal especially after a long day of hiking. Had a very friendly staff and was very clean. Very much enjoyed the food and drinks! Would definitely recommend for those who are looking for a slightly more upper end restaurant in Moab, not the cheapest place but it is extremely nice. I must also add that the outdoor seating was awesome, always enjoy when I get to eat outside at places like this, gotta get that fresh Moab air!

Surprisingly excellent Neapolitan pizza cooked in an authentic Italian wood burning oven along with tasty, well prepared Italian cuisine including some fresh creative salads. Nice outdoor patio to enjoy the cooler Moab evenings and some great desserts to finish off your meal. A great choice for a satisfying meal in Moab.
