Reviews
Sporty / friendly atmosphere.
We’d go back!
Management asked for my information even though spoke to the manager when the cold food was served I had responded immediately however I think it was only to show on Google reviews that someone was responding however as there has never been a attempted contact
Rating in customer service MINUS 5 Terrible
Cold food , wrong order , failure to reach out asking for contact information POOR
Overall it’s a very good been there 4 times so far , in this restaurant I do have a concern as I thought it was a one off however last week went for lunch my food was semi warm, however, I thought I wouldn’t say anything as it wasn’t entirely cold , my sons meal however was almost frozen inside as he had the hot roast beef . They took it back and I believe reheated the food my son and myself were hesitant to return
Also they gave him the wrong meal as he order chicken on a bun and got a piece of chicken on the plate We understand mistakes happen however repeated mistakes you sit up and watch
I did talk my son into going for lunch and try Annie’s again as I like the place as the service the atmosphere is very nice ,however, on this occasion my burger cold and again my sons food was cold and the order was wrong , even his fries were cold which is very odd almost as if the food sat there for a extended period of time
The cheese on his chicken didn’t even melt we ended up sending both meals back again and it wasn’t busy
The manager did come over apologized as we waited for our food . I cannot say I was pleased my first time there I spent close to 60 dollars for lunch on this occasion I spent closer to 70.00
I recognize the manager acknowledged the mistake however first time is a mistake second time seems to be a internal issue however given the money I have spent on 2 visits I’m doubtful I will be hurrying back which is a shame as overall it’s a wonderful place but given both experiences I’m extremely hesitant
I have posted 2 pictures of previous meals not associated with the most recent issues
To top it off I received a request from Annie’s to provide my contact information for which I did
In keeping with there failure to correct a situation I had responded to Annie’s over a week ago and NOT to my surprise I have had absolutely no one reach out to either me or my son
Annie’s Barrel seems to be going through the motions however customer satisfaction is not something you should expect given this is not a one off and when a company asks for your contact information and FAILS to respond you automatically know what they are about and it’s not the customers
I arrived with reasonable expectations and left feeling like I’d been part of a social experiment in patience. This place is a masterclass in disappointment.
The Highlights:
* The Layout [YUCK 1]: A claustrophobic fire hazard. We were left standing in a bottleneck like “unintentional décor” while staff looked for silverware.
* The Food [YUCK 2 & 3]: “Manicured” cauliflower (rotting spots cut off), two lonely carrot slices, and a Yorkshire pudding that was clearly a frozen, reanimated “freezer-to-oven” special. The steak was so aggressively salted it made a salt-lick feel bland. The response to our complaint? “I’ll let them know to stop doing that to people.” No apology, just data collection.
* The Wildlife [YUCK 4]: Giant, dim-witted fruit flies everywhere. I had to swat one off our pitcher with my hat—its remains stayed plastered to the wall as a “trophy” for the rest of the meal.
* The Facilities [YUCK 5]: The bathroom has a 1990s Jumbo Video back-room vibe—residue on surfaces and overflowing trash. I half-expected to hear a Duke Nukem sound effect.
Final Verdict: Disappointing, disgusting, and cramped. One YUCK spared purely out of mercy because I managed to escape through the tiny exit without getting stuck. Welcome to the Barrel of Regrets.
EDIT: Owner replied to the review asking for time and date of visit, and to comunicate directly.
The time stamps in the photos show Feb 15th, 9:25PM roughly. I cannot be purchased. I gave this place an honest chance. Sorry, my V-Day date can not be un done 🙁 It has already been written.
Food was very well cooked and everything seemed fresh. Definitely would recommend checking them out. I want to go back to try the lunch/dinner menu.
Great options
My server was TINA and she was so wonderful and attentive as well as so positive and helpful! I had the best service I have had in a very long time. The food was amazing as well. I had the brisket nachos and the Alfredo pasta and I loved it all!! Great portions too! I will def be back! Another thing that was great-the manager (I think) came out and asked how everything was and if we were enjoying everything which to me is a big deal, especially when you first open!
We had a wonderful waitress named Leila. A pure natural…starting from her service to her star personality. Will definitely be asking for Leila on the future. The food was hot and very flavorful. Management goes out of their to make sure you are comfortable and satisfied. Very much appreciated. Thank you we’ll return soon.
