Indian specialties, including curry & dosas, served à la carte & buffet-style in a modern setting.

We stopped by Annapurna Restaurant for a quick dinner while on our way to San Francisco. Due to the Christmas holidays, the place was quite busy. The food overall was average.
We ordered dosas, which were slightly overcooked, and the paneer filling was minimal, with flavors dominated by onions and tomatoes. The Mysore masala dosa has big pieces of aloo in it! Curry in it was not properly made. The masala chai was not up to the mark, as it was heavily dominated by ginger. The chole bhatura was average, and the chole itself didn’t stand out. The overall experience felt similar to a typical busy tiffin center you might find near popular street pilgrimage places in India.
The restaurant mentions it has been around for about 17 years, and while that shows longevity, the authenticity and consistency could be better maintained to match its long-standing presence.

Some of my favorite Indian food I’ve ever tried! Got take out and was so floored by how good it was! I got the Vegetable Korma (comes w rice) and Garlic Naan with the Gulab Jamun for dessert. It was spicy, but it was perfect if you can handle medium spice. I could still taste the flavors really well.
And the dessert was out of control. I will be back. Also, there was a mixup with an item in my order and when I called they remedied the situation very quickly letting me keep the extra dish. Really great customer service.

Dosas are fun. Overall not my favorite Indian food, but still pretty good. Atmosphere isn’t much, but they have a parking lot which was great.

Excellent flavors, Dosa was great, the selection was good as well. Some items were not offered but were on the menu. We had a family of 11 that were able to sit but space felt cramped. Food took longer than expected but wait-staff were professional and friendly to keep us updated. Only reason this was a 4 v 5. Food was amazing, no complaints at all.

This is really an Indian (Vegetarian) flavor town USA!!! The food is amazing and it looks like a family own and run business. Service is quick and friendly with parking available. The ambiance is very casual and lots of noise from kitchen (love it!). It’s like they get to work on your order as you put in the order.
I highly recommend the Sambar Vada (lentil donut drowned in dal(Sambar)). We also tried Andrah Dosa (spicy and real good) AND pavbhaji dosa (highly recommend also!).
I will be here again and recommend anyone looking for vegetarian food to come try this spot! Come hungry!

We had a delicious meal and absolutely loved the experience! We tried Bisi Bele Bath, Chana Bature, Ghee Roast, Curd Rice, and Sambar Vada each dish was flavorful, authentic, and perfectly spiced. The Bisi Bele Bath was comfort in a bowl, the Chana Bature was rich and satisfying, and the Ghee Roast was incredibly crispy and aromatic. The Curd Rice is the perfect finish to a wholesome South Indian meal.

We are visiting for holidays city LA from Austin TX, and eating Indian restaurant food four days continue and looking for vegetarian food so many people told me this restaurant name and food is ok. we got bad experience due to food quality and customer service support, I have been in this Indian food industry more than 30 years service and big volunteer in temple and Indian non profit organizations as well and still continuing my self, I don’t see good South Indian food quality I would say 3.5 rating barely and once we order food for my family, Andhra spicy masala dosa and other orders for family I heard funny voices I can complete understand thier languages (I recorded in my mind) from kitchen, talking making fun on customers orders that’s not right ?!?! not funny, I think Annapurna cuisine people looking for customers like them certain region people only, that’s not good, I have high respect all Indian experienced chefs Indian restaurant owners and I am doing same business but I never disrespect anyone in my life Atthidhi Devo Bhava disappeared if you disrespect customers, even if you doing restaurant business, I hope Annapurna cuisine people take care this issues very seriously if they want good customers and business further future. If they don’t take care this issues I don’t recommend anyone in my big circle friends always visit LA, jobs trips or business trips people from Austin TX.

Not bad, definitely above average, but I’m not rushing back. The best thing I got was the bread that came with the Channa Masala. It was super light, buttery, kind of sweet and the bottom was crispy which provided it a great bit of texture. The Masala itself was good but it tasted exactly like the Hyderabad Baingan ka Bartha. I will say, both dishes were packed with flavor, it just happened to be the same one.
The dosa is impressively large, but is a useless vessel for the dips it comes with. 80% of it is too thin and crispy, think the burnt end of a pancake, to actually carry or complement the dips. It is fun to eat through because it is so large and the bottom is a bit thicker so it can pick up some sauce, but other than that, it’s unremarkable.
The Gualb Jamun for dessert tasted like a soggy donut hole. It was fine but I would it order it again.
While Annapurna Cuisine is serving up very authentic Indian food, it isn’t close tot he best I’ve had.
