This place never disappoints! The Cajun pasta was amazing, especially if you like spicy but you can also request less Cajun spice. Baja tacos are great as well as the fried catfish, which I really love because it’s hard to find good catfish but this place exceeded my expectations. I had the … Angry Vegan today. It had avocado, fish calls for grilled but I wanted mine fresh, and sweet potato mash along with other veggies and was soooo good!!! And I must say that each time I visit, I have to order a side of fruit. It’s always fresh and the fruit very sweet! Has become our new favorite spot.

I had an incredible dining experience at The Angry Cactus in San Angelo! The atmosphere is unlike anything else—the vibrant blue “cactus tree” centerpiece and the modern, artistic decor create such a cool, upscale vibe that’s perfect for a night out.
The food was the absolute highlight of the evening:
• Wood Grilled Filet: This was cooked to absolute perfection. The sear on the outside was beautiful, and the meat was incredibly tender. The pairing with the rich sauce, mashed potatoes, and fresh green beans made for a truly gourmet meal.
• Prickly Pear Cheesecake: You cannot leave without trying this! It was served on a rustic wooden board and topped with a gorgeous, bright prickly pear glaze. It was creamy, tart, and just the right amount of sweet.
Our server, Chris F, was fantastic and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the night. If you’re looking for a spot with amazing food and a unique atmosphere, this is it!

I stopped by Angry Cactus for a drink while I was in the area and noticed that it was really cool and decked out with big beautiful paintings on canvas. There’s interesting realism art displayed all around the interior of the restaurant walls of the restaurant, including the restrooms. I sat in the bar area and received fantastic customer service from the bartender. I had the house margarita special for the day and it was pretty darn good. I really enjoyed my house margarita on the rocks special and was completely satisfied with the bartender’s customer friendly attitude, service, and hospitality. I can’t rate the food since I only had a drink. I wasn’t hungry, but I’m sure it’s notable as well as something to talk about for the next time I’m in the area when I dine in for some lunch or dinner. I’ve never been at a restaurant with so many big beautiful paintings of modern celebrities and musicians. There appears to be a tribute to notable musicians who have passed away. It was decent all around comfortable and casual atmosphere. I’m looking forward to checking out their food the next time around.

I ordered the Cheddar Burger with fries. I travel the state of Texas for work. I always thought the Gristmill in Gruene, Texas had the best burger, but the Angry Cactus has a better burger that’s more amazing. I even got a free appetizer of bread and olive oil that was also incredible. The fries weren’t plain but had a great seasoning. I will definitely return to this place. It’s in a historic district that you must also see, including Miss Hattie’s bordello and a jewelry shop that sells the Concho River pearls.

Treated to a fantastic birthday lunch to die for! The Skillet Nachos and drinks were a wonderful prelude to our main entrees. The Southern fried fish with garlic mashed potatoes was a step above and beyond our expectations. The medium rare filet was grilled perfectly, as was the antelope; both buttery tender with a demiglaze that warrants compliments to the chef.

First time we were really impressed with their lunch menu second time not so much. I had the fried catfish. He had the chicken fried steak. The portions were too small the second time around . Different cook ?? Won’t go back. The pictures are from the first time I didn’t have my phone to take pictures the second time . That tiny grilled chicken was barely a morsel and so was my chicken fried steak. We’ll be going to San Angelo for Dr visits. We need a decent serving, reason I went back but you slacked . I even posted on facebook about how good it was. You have to be consistent

Tonight was our first time to Angry Cactus. Our waiter, Chris, did an amazing job taking care of us. Service was great. The Hatch Chili Queso is a must! The Barnyard was so delicious and Mac N Cheese had great taste and texture. We will definitely be back again.

I visited the restaurant for lunch on a Sunday and it was delicious. I enjoyed the salmon and my mother enjoyed the knife and fork burrito. I highly recommend visiting and enjoying a nice meal with family close to the wonderful art installation of a tree.

Really enjoyed our meal here! One of the best places we ate at in San Angelo. I had the Cajun pasta, it was delicious!! It was a little too spicy for my taste buds and I still found myself eating it the Mac and cheese was really good as well. But the star of our dinner was definitely dessert, we had the bananas foster cake… oh my god. It was to die for!!! Absolutely phenomenal.
