I’ve visited this location of Andy’s Frozen Custard many times, and my experiences have always been great. I’ve recommended Andy’s to others and truly enjoyed supporting this business. I always order a hot fudge sundae with extra hot fudge and have no issue paying for the additional topping.
Unfortunately, my visit on February 21, 2026 was very different.
A young man took my order, but a female employee brought it to the window. She commented with a negative tone, “that’s a lot of extra fudge,” and had an unpleasant expression. She then forcefully stuck the spoon into the sundae before handing it to me, which felt unprofessional.
After returning to my car, I realized I had not been given napkins. When I returned to the window and politely asked for them, the same employee loudly responded, “WHAT?” I repeated my request and she curtly replied, “NAPKIN,” before handing them to me. As I walked away, she made a remark to the customer behind me that prompted them to look at me and smile, which made the situation even more uncomfortable.
Because of this interaction, I did not feel comfortable eating the custard and I ended up throwing it away. I don’t feel comfortable coming back to this place again.
This experience was disappointing and did not reflect the friendly service I’ve come to know. I hope management addresses customer service standards so future customers receive the respectful treatment they deserve.

The average experience you would expect from an Andy’s on a Friday night. Decent line of cars but they appears to move quickly. We went to the window and enjoyed it outside. No long lines or wait. Friendly staff. Good flavors with a lot of options and the ability to build your own.

I drove all the way down from Mooresville specifically for Andy’s, as this is the closest location. I ordered a small Rico Suave, but when I got home, I realized they had given me something completely different filled with peanut butter.
I drove all the way back to have the order corrected. While they did remake the custard, I asked if they could offer a refund or a small discount for the inconvenience of having to drive back and forth twice. Instead of being professional, the staff inside actually laughed at me for driving that far for ice cream.
It’s one thing to mess up an order, but it’s another to be blatantly disrespectful to a customer who is just trying to get the service they paid for. The lack of accountability and the smug attitude from the staff was pathetic.
Save your gas and go somewhere else where they actually value their customers.

Tasted good. Be prepared for the heat to melt it pretty quickly! Wish they had tables with umbrellas for seating out there, though. Those metal benches in the sun aren’t doing it.
