Amazing service. Amazing food. You can taste the high quality of the ingredients. Miso soup was flavorful. Best seaweed salad I’ve ever had. The tonkotsu ramen was flavorful. The chef made me a special phoenix sushi roll that I haven’t been able to find anywhere since moving to Tennessee. The California rolls had chunks of real crab. This whole visit was amazing and my boyfriend and I plan to be back frequently.

Great little place in the historic downtown Knoxville area. The food is amazing, staff very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend the tonkatsu ramen. The sushi is always very fresh and delicious. Anaba is a most stop on your next visit to Knoxville. The restaurant features a open kitchen for easy viewing of food preparation.

I LOVE Anaba’s food. I always discover a delicious fish I didn’t think I would enjoy eating. Today our server was also very attentive and knowledgeable. I also usually don’t have to wait long for the food to come out.

When you are in Knoxville, I recommend you give them a try… the service was quick and food was very delicious… I recommend it for friends, family and single dining. P.S try the plum wine if you like a sweeter tasting to combate the spice….

Good izakaya food. I’d love if they had a bento box at dinner time. Good tempura, rolls, katsu, ramen, bowls.

This place is always packed and the reason it’s because it’s delicious, food and beverages. I’ve been there a few times and hasn’t disappointed, the only reason I don’t give 5 starts it’s because it’s small, and you have to wait for a little bit most of the times, I think the wait is worth it though.

completely messed up my order and i cannot get in touch with anyone at the restaurant. i have been calling repeatedly and they do not care at all. simple sushi volcano roll ingredients were literally THROWN together in a takeaway box. i’ve never, ever complained before at a restaurant in my whole life, but this is absolutely unacceptable.

This establishment is a culinary experience from start to finish. Everything is delicious, not an exaggeration. Go in the door with whatever craving you have in mind, then forget it upon looking at the menu. They will even stray a bit from the usual if you have dietary restrictions. The food is outshone only by the service, I believe you must be a special type of awesome to get hired there. Single diner or family outing, there’s room for all appetites.

First time trying out this cozy but comfortable spot in the 100 block of South Gay Street. Our server, Jacob was very attentive, quickly taking our drink and appetizer order. Although they have limited space for al fresco dining on the sidewalk, we were able to get a table there to enjoy a pleasant, breezy evening. The spring rolls appetizer was fresh and delicious. Had hibachi teriyaki shrimp and chicken entrees, both came out hot and tasty just as we finished the spring rolls. After living downtown for the past three years, two blocks from Anaba, we are wondering why we haven’t been here sooner! We will definitely be back.
