At Amy’s Cupcake Shoppe we began in 2014, and pride ourselves in making all of our yummy treats from scratch with only the best ingredients. Custom cakes, gourmet cupcakes, French macarons, and other sweet treats. Located on Mainstreet in Hopkins, Minnesota just minutes from downtown Minneapolis. Come in the shoppe to enjoy a brewed coffee from City Girl Coffee, a sweet treat, or place a custom order for your next special event. Custom cakes are one of our specialties from one tier to as many as you can imagine for a wedding, or any other event you’d like to make even more amazing. I do believe this is my new favourite cupcake place! I love cupcakes but I hate overly sweet frosting. Amy’s cupcakes have the perfect amount of sweetness so you can actually enjoy the whole cupcake without feeling the need to chase it with a gallon of water. My daughters LOVED the macarons as well, and the flabours were on point. I definately will be stopping in again. Perhaps I’ll try that little icecream store next door too.

We decided to do assorted cupcakes for our wedding reception and it was a huge hit! The cupcakes were delicious and we liked the option to choose different flavors for the big day. Amy’s was extremely flexible and patient working with us leading up to our wedding. I have a severe nut allergy and Amy’s was so patient working through that with me and assuring me there would be no nuts in our cupcakes. We would highly recommend Amy’s for wedding dessert!

So far so good. I have been there once and tried variety of macaroons and they were all scrumptious I am looking forward to trying the gluten free . They didn’t have many left when I was there so I will be coming back to try those. I have to say the pumpkin spice macaroon was so good, I think that one was my fav of the ones I tried.

Unfortunately, I have to give this bakery 1/5 rating due my experience I had with them on my wedding day. I paid over $1000 for my wedding cake, 4 tiered cake with design and sheet cake to feed ~200 guests. During the transportation my cake was dropped unfortunately. Although I am unhappy that the cake was dropped I understand that mistakes can happen. The bakery worked to make another cake quickly and get it delivered before the reception, which was great. This cake was only 3 tiers and did not have any design, which was disappointing because I had made the cake the center of the ballroom on display. I wish they would have contacted me beforehand if able because I would have said not to display the cake at that point or to try and get my florist to add some details to the cake to make it prettier. Regardless, it happens and I understand that in the high stress situation this would be difficult to coordinate. What I am really the most upset with is that Amy’s Cupcakes attempted to still get me to pay the original price of the cake with a $100 gift card to their shop for the inconvenience. That is terrible customer service in my opinion and if it was my business I would have compensated the entire cost (wedding cakes are a big deal!). I went back and forth with them multiple times to try and get the cost down and they resisted but finally agreed to paying me back $300, not even half of the total cost. I am sorry to leave a bad review but if I had to plan a future wedding I would not want to go with this company.

I got my sons 1 year old smash cakes and cupcakes from here and they were perfect! So great to work with, easy pick up, and they were delicious! I had them made vegan and it is so great to have that as an option! Non vegans LOVED the cupcakes too 🙂 also go to Amy’s for my occasional treat and it’s such a cute and cozy shop in a great location as I love downtown Hopkins! HIGHLY recommend.

Tried here because I of the gluten free vegan cupcakes as I have friends with some strict dietary restrictions. Have since tried a number of their offerings and everything has been fantastic. The caramel rolls on weekends are especially great. Just hope the biscuits and homemade jam are back soon!

I cannot explain how much I love Amy’s cupcakes/cakes. I had her do my wedding and she was outstanding. Today is our first anniversary and I had reached out a couple months back to see if I could order the same flavor of cake since it’s not an everyday flavor so my husband and I could have a small cake. Not only did she make us a beautiful cake, she gave it to us complimentary. I would’ve gladly paid for it. Thank you so much for all that you do!

Ordered cupcakes for my son’s birthday… they were delish! I never eat cupcake frosting but every morsel of their cupcakes were enjoyed. I will order again. Highly recommend the strawberries and cream and chocolate peanut butter cupcakes!

We ordered a cake and gluten free cupcakes at Amy’s Cupcake Shoppe and they were incredible! The cake and cupcakes were moist and delicious! They were able to make them the day before our wedding, so we could pick them up early and not have to worry about it on the wedding day. We appreciate their communication throughout the wedding process and we look forward to going back there again in the future for date nights and other celebrations!
