We visited Amy’s Cafe for the first time today. We loved everything about the experience. The food was delicious. Our service was exceptional…Destiny was our server today and she did a great job. Clean restrooms and dinning room areas.
They have the best restaurant sweet tea in all of Northern Virginia!!!
We will definitely be back.

We stopped in for lunch. The food was ok. The service was nothing to brag about and the atmosphere was stale and boring. While the building was historic and had plenty of artifacts it was “old” as opposed to engaging and historical. Our waitress was not enthusiastic at all. She appeared disinterested or distracted. The food was meh at best. Nothing that stood out. I would say it was typical diner food, except that I’ve had dinner food that would knock your socks off. This didn’t.
If you looking for a fun, engaging, and tasty lunch, I would say look elsewhere.

Food was good and service was fast and friendly. It has an old timey feeling and the indoor has a bar and dinning area. This was a really nice and quiet place to enjoy lunch with my wife.

When I ordered the chicken and dumplings, I was hoping a recipe with herbs and vegetables. The cozy restaurant, along with the best tasting chicken and dumplings I have ever eaten, made for a perfect afternoon meal! Thank You, for the friendly hospitality of my servers!

Amy’s Cafe in Fredericksburg was the perfect stop for me, my wife, and my son after a tough morning of cleaning gutters. We were tired and hungry, and this place absolutely delivered.
We started with some potato skins and Cokes, which were hot, fresh, and delicious. My wife and I both ordered patty melts, while my son got a burger. Everything was cooked perfectly and served piping hot with generous portions of crispy fries and onion rings. The food tasted incredibly fresh, and the ranch dressing was, without a doubt, some of the best I’ve ever had—so good!
The cafe itself has so much character. It’s an old building, but it’s filled with wonderful paintings and pictures that tell the story of both Fredericksburg and the cafe’s history. It was a real pleasure to be surrounded by such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back the next time we need a break!

We have driven by for years and never stopped. Had time Saturday afternoon to take a break and did
NOT regret it. We ordered Ruben egg rolls and crab dip for apps. eggs rolls were off the hook. Crab dip had great flavor but did lack on lump crab meat. There were two different chicken wraps ordered and they were both delicious. Had a cheeseburger and it was perfect. Also a Ruben that was really good and lastly a childs mac and cheese that as you can see by the pics was delicious. Service was phenomenal, they were very busy but our waitress didn’t miss a beat. Atmosphere was great in this historic bldg. So if you are headed into FXBG and wanna grab a bite before going into downtown I’d highly recommend this hidden gem!

We decided to go to Amy’s for breakfast on Valentine’s Day! A Fredericksburg institution, and the food was great! My omelette was amazing, the pancakes were delicious and the coffee was perfect. My mom and grandma loved there meals and my GF enjoyed her eggs benedict! The staff were wonderful and attentive! I would highly recommend Amy’s if you are looking for a cozy, quiet, banger of all things food!

The service is always the best. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and like family. The dailey specials add some variety to the already great food! It’s a piece of history and a favorite spot.

We’ve frequented Amy’s Cafe over the last 6 years and we have never been disappointed. Last night we tried the special Chili Mac and also ordered Fried Green Tomato’s as an appetizer. Both were delicious! The portion sizes are generous – we were able to bring some home for leftovers and both of us have talked about how good the Chili Mac was several times since.
The staff has always been very friendly and attentive to us while we dined. We highly recommend you give Amy’s a try!

Fantastic food, friendly service, best spicy bloody mary I’ve had in Fred. The historical building is really cool. Over 200 years old with some really great nostalgic photos through the years. My country fried steak was legit. Wifey got a BLT and said it was awesome. My son got the Double Meat Steak & Cheese and it was devoured quickly.
