What a hidden gem! Very authentic Taiwanese dishes that brings me back. The popcorn chicken is a must order. Happy with everything else we ordered for dinner and we had plenty of leftover for lunch the next day. Can’t wait to return and try other dishes! Seating is limited and it is a gas station. So if you don’t like the vibe, maybe order takeout. The owners cannot be nicer.

Once you get passed the gas station setting, the food is as Taiwanese as you will get here in a restaurant. Perhaps the gas station setting makes it feel more like street side setting. The beef noodle soup had a lot more beef than anticipated, very tender and flavorful. The bento came with very good sides that accompanied the rice, pork chop and popcorn chicken well. The stinky tofu and sausages were also tasty.

Best Taiwanese food in the DMV!!! What a hidden gem!!! It’s super cool that this place is a half Exxon gas station and a half restaurant. Very authentic Taiwanese vibes.
If you have been to Taiwan you know all the great delicious local street food places are hidden somewhere in the cities or at the night markets in Taiwan. Personally, this place location is just perfect in Rockville, Maryland. This place represents everything about Taiwan so well.
The staffs here are super friendly. They kept this place very clean. Most importantly, everything here on the menu is delicious !!!
When I saw this place have Taiwan Apple Sidra (Taiwanese Apple Soda). I already knew this place is going to be amazing!!! All the food here is delicious and the flavors are super spot on when it comes to Taiwanese street food.
People in Rockville are very lucky to have an amazing Taiwanese place in the Rockville area.
Definitely you should checkout their beef noodle soup if you are a noodle lover.
If you like rice, you should definitely order “Lu Rou Fan”- braised pork rice.
For appetizer, definitely check out their stinky tofu. I guarantee you won’t regret it.
If you want to try American Taiwanese food, just go with the chicken popcorn. Otherwise, you can’t go wrong with anything on their menu.
Anyway why are you still reading the reviews?
Go check out for yourself right now!!!

The definition of a hidden gem. The staff is so friendly and their menu is huge! I was expecting just a few items, especially since this “restaurant” at face value is more like a gas station snack bar. However, the food is delicious, made to order, and fresh and authentic. I went with my family who lived in Taiwan for years and we all agreed that the flavors were spot on. In actuality, the fact that this place shares space with a gas station really makes you feel like you’re getting real Taiwanese street food.

I’ve been curious about this place for a while. It’s inside Exxon’s gas station so you can find a space to park fairly easily. Since it’s inside a gas station, the atmosphere is what you’d expect and not comparable to that of a full scale restaurant. However, the food here tastes good. I ordered the beef noodle soup, and it comes inside a plastic bowl. There’s numerous large chunks of beef slices and each bite was tender and delicious. The broth is rich and savory, not overly salty like many other places serving Taiwanese beef noodle soup. The noodles themselves are a bit overcooked and softer than I liked. Overall, I enjoyed this quick meal. And I didn’t need to chug a water bottle afterwards, which is a plus.

I may not be an expert in Taiwanese food, but I can recognize greatness when I taste it.

I have never been disappointed by a restaurant in an Exxon Mobil and I promise you, I sure wasn’t disappointed this time.

The staff are efficient and kind, the food was great (I got braised pork rice), and you have an amazing selection for beverages and dessert (thanks Exxon), there’s even a seating area in the gas station!

Give it a chance, Exxon knows how to choose their restaurant owners.

I almost gave the atmosphere a 5-star because it actually replicates the “street market” feel of Taiwan, but being indoors. You’ve read it all, the restaurant is inside a gas station store. The food is authentic Taiwanese. We tried the stinky tofu (crispy, stinky, and fried so airy and crispy). The pork belly rice box was delicious. Popcorn chicken was not dried and juicy. Calamari was a bit salty but still very good. Beef noodle was on point with the sour pickle veg. The meat balls on expensive side being one, but it was good. I have to think the bad reviews are from either people not familiar with the Taiwan taste, or from West Taiwan

Don’t underestimate this Taiwanese restaurant inside an Exxon gas station. With cheap coffee on the counter, a few no frills tables inside, the staff know what they are doing. The menu is filled with authentic food from those found in night markets in Taiwan to bento boxes.

Stopping inside on a Saturday evening around 6 p.m., there was a healthy flow of customers. Order on a screen by the register and your food can be packaged for takeout or you can stay there and make use of the many sauces on the counter.

Making a rookie mistake, my wife, seven-year-old daughter, and I each order our own entree. The portions are so big that we could have gotten two and be content.

Everything we got was excellent and fresh. The fried rice with chicken was a favorite. The pork dumplings with a garlic sauce and the Taiwan noodles were a hit too. So good!

They sell drinks, but they also have cups for free water and ice.

Hidden Gem!

Don’t let the location fool you — yes, it shares a building with an Exxon, but the food here is fantastic.

We ordered the pork braised rice, beef noodle soup, and Taiwanese popcorn chicken, and everything was outstanding. The beef in the soup was incredibly tender and came in huge pieces, the rice was rich and flavorful, and the popcorn chicken had a lighter, cleaner taste than most places without losing any flavor.

You can tell the ingredients are fresh and the kitchen really cares about quality. This place deserves way more attention than it gets. We’ll definitely be back!

This Taiwanese restaurant is located inside the gas stations, there are only two tables and four seats each along with the bar seating along the kitchen and the windows. Beef noodle soup was ok, it’s not as flavorful as expected and it’s not the beef stews that I was expecting, stinky tofu was good, the sauce that comes with it was pretty good. The sausage that comes with the rice has very strong fishy smells, other than that the fried chicken leg and popcorn chicken is pretty flavorful! Salt and pepper chicken wing was great too! Do try the apple cider soda, it’s very good. Friendly staff! I would recommend if you are driving by and need a stop and go food, wait time was fast!
