We enjoyed our dinner very much at Amici’s. Good restaurants with food not overly seasoned and heavily salted is almost impossible to find. We generally dine at home for this reason. The restaurants in Johnstown, Altoona and in between, leave a lot to be desired. We are very happy to have tried Amici’s as everything was great! The service and the food! I personally recommend the Calamari….cooked perfectly, not “rubbery”. Everything about our experience was very good.

My husband and I went to Amici’s for the first time for our 11 year anniversary last weekend and were very impressed. Everything….and I mean everything, was great! We had salads with the lemon champagne viniagrette, which was amazing, he had the sausage penne and I had the mahi mahi. Even the oil for the bread was amazing! We also had the Bellini-tini and creme’ brule beer – both very, very good! And our Server, James A. was GREAT!!! Thank you, Amici’s for making our anniversary dinner one to remember! 🙂

better off going across the street to moose first, fill up on both drink and food then go to Amici’s. 3 scallops with lettuce, $ 10.95, maybe the Pope had blessed them, watered down Jack Daniels. Nice interior, food not bad, too little of it, service really slow. watered down drink topped it off. Buy a flask and prepare to feel violated walking out the door. tjk.

Make sure if you make a reservation you have it notarized. The owner will book the room right out from under you…After telling him I would check with my party to confirm and get back to him in 24 hours ( 2 weeks before the date), left my name and telephone number with him, then got back to him in less than 24 hours, he had booked the room to someone else. Not so much as a courtesy call….. Hmmm, so disappointing.
