We came in traveling from Illinois to Maryland and stopped here. I’ve never been here, so I picked out a chocolate dumpling looking Boston cream. It was the best Boston cream I’ve ever had! It’s possibly the best pastry I’ve had! Oh, it was so good, i didn’t want it to end. I wish I bought more, but I didn’t know if it been too sweet or not to my liking. I hope one day I get to have another one since I live in Texas.

Stopped in while visiting Wheeling on a Saturday afternoon in August. Had a slice of blueberry cheesecake for $5. It was really good. The gentleman behind the counter was very personable. A woman was busy making desserts next to him. Seems like things are homemade and made with care. The cookies also looked really good and were reasonably priced, though I didn’t have the chance to try them. I’ll definitely go back to sample other things from this bakery next time in in town. It’s a nice area to walk around in, too.

Amazing! Located in the Centre market. We stopped while in town to visit the Festival of Lights & would definitely recommend both this bakery and the area around the market!

First time eating at this place. Associate was very friendly and helpful. We got 3 fruit pies. I ate mine for brekkie yesterday and it was probably THE best fried pie I have EVER had…..beating name brand ones. I will DEFINITELY come back. (to try other things and buy MORE PIES).

I have bought various flavors of hand pies from them at the Washington Farmers Market. I have never been disappointed. My favorite hands down is the Coconut Cream Pie. It reminds me of my great grandmother’s homemade pies. More importantly the owners are an exceedingly nice couple who always treat me and my family very well. I promise if you try them you will never be disappointed.

As I was walking through Center Market, my eyes couldn’t help but be caught by the delicious looking desserts at American Pies & Pastries. The woman working there was extremely nice and gave great service. I decided to get the salted caramel brownie, and a boston creme pie, and they were both just as good as they looked. I recommend giving this place a shot if you haven’t yet

Great place at Center Market! I took home two kinds of pies to share with my mother: coconut cream and berry berry. Both were wonderful! The crust is delicious! Mom wants to try other fillings because both of these were fantastic!
