Often described as Miami’s best-kept secret, the American Czech-Slovak Culture Club is a hidden, must-see 100-year-old landmark known for its food, beer, festivals, and community events. The unique clubhouse is open to the public every week on Friday – bar only – and on Sunday for a large three-course traditional brunch. The club has a large and active statewide membership with exciting programming to celebrate Czech heritage and culture. Please see the calendar for upcoming events. The clubhouse is also available as a rental facility for weddings, concerts, birthdays, etc. The club property is a Miami-Dade County Historic Site and has been recognized by the City of North Miami as a beacon of culture preservation.

Attended Florida’s only Czech–Slovak Oktoberfest here — a true class act in every way. Huge thanks to Club President Barry and Councilman Burns for helping make this celebration a reality. Beyond the music, food, and community spirit, what really stood out was the rich history and heritage of the grounds themselves. Such a great spot to come on Sunday for a beautiful home cooked meal. The president greets you to give you a history of the building and community. We visited the American Czech Cultural Club on a Sunday specifically to try one of my favorite Czech dishes, the candle dish, and it did not disappoint. The place feels like stepping into an old tavern, filled with antiques and charm. My Czech friends mentioned it felt just like being inside a traditional Czech home, which says a lot, so I’ll take their word for it! The server was incredibly kind and attentive, making the experience feel very welcoming. The day we went it wasn’t too crowded, which made it cozy and almost like a personalized experience. The food itself was simply amazing — flavorful, hearty, and authentic. I would definitely recommend it if you’re open to trying a different cuisine. A little tip: the candle dish is only served once a month, so make sure to follow their social media to catch it if you’re planning a visit.

This is a unique club that has existed at this location for more than 5 years! It sits in a wooded area off Biscayne Blvd with a clubhouse & garden area. It is a private club & is open for lunch on sundays from 12-5 only! Guest are welcome, plenty of tables, quick waiter service, very short menu focused just on a few Chech/ Hungarian dishes. All the platters include a delicious bowl of vegetable/ Dumpling soup, a main course with a starch, a desert & coffee or tea for $25 plus tax & tip! I ordered the pork schnitzel which came with potato salad to eat in. I also ordered the daily special, a beef goulash in sauce with bread Dumplings to go. Everything was tasty & worth the visit! A welcome change if you’re looking for eastern European cooking!

Went for October fest. Food was ok not great they definetly need a planner to put together a menu. Everything was plain, a snitzel was just that for $13 no noodle nothing, the goulash $14 left a lot to be desired 3 chunks of meet and mostly broth and 3 small pieces of bread. Noodles would have been good, the pretzel was cold. This was a fundraiser but the meals could have been better. Maybe we will try again. We had a nice time listening to polka and German folklore music.

Hidden gem! Three course meals all between $25-30. The potato soup is fantastic, as well as the pork schnitzel which is thick cut. They serve it with a side of potato salad that’s got a great mix of crunchy vegetables and a touch of sweetness. Desert was pleasant but I was so full!
