I wanted to try some authentic Ecuadorian food and was happily surprised to learn that they had guatita (tripe and potatoes in a peanut sauce)! I’ve not had that for many years when my mom prepared it, and theirs was pretty close to how I remembered. They were generous with the meat for that entree, which was a pleasant surprise.

In addition to that entree, we ordered cheese plantain empanadas, shrimp ceviche with tostones, beef salad, and guatita, which was accompanied by rice, maduro, and a slice of avocado. All drinks, including water, are sold in bottles. I’m not sure if this place is BYO, but I would guess so.

The restaurant is on the first floor of a single family home building with an ample parking lot behind and to the side of the house. The service was OK, a little relaxed and loose in terms of pace of service. Do not go here if you are pressed for time.

Otherwise, the ambiance is very “homey” and there are authentic Ecuadorian products for sale at the cash register.

I will return for breakfast as they seem to have a large offering, and I’d like to try their bolón with eggs next.

Gave them 4 stars because they did permit a guitarist/singer at one point during the dining experience that kind of ruined the mood a little. Then they asked for tips, which you do feel compelled to pay. I don’t like forced performances like that.

Lastly, the costs were aligned with the quality and uniqueness of the foods offered. Bill came out to ~ $40 per person which is not unreasonable.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This was my first time ordering and my last! I called to place an order for 2 milanesa de pollo & 1 sopa de mondongo, on the phone the lady asked me if I wanted fried eggs and how I wanted them cooked to which I replied over easy. Then she proceded to tell me it also came with french fries and I said perfect I’ll take it with everything that it comes with. Well apparently that was a mistake. When my boyfriend came home with the order we had the opposite of what we ordered. No eggs, no french fries & 2 different types of rice (1 yellow & 1 white) even though we ordered the same thing. I decide to go back to the restaurant thinking we received the wrong order but to my surprise this is apparently what I ordered. There are so many things wrong with this order but yet they wont take responsibility for any of it!
1. $14.95 for (3) 16oz sodas!!!!!!
2. They give you whatever rice they feel like giving you. They told me either way it’s rice!
3. Since I told her I wanted it with everything that apparently changes the whole order.
4. The milanesa de pollo con todo does not come with eggs or french fries…but on the website there is only 1 milanesa de pollo listed.
5. The $2.25 charge is for the containers! YES FOR THE CONTAINERS THAT THEY PUT THE FOOD IN!!
6. You can clearly see on the receipt that it says over easy even though I didn’t get any eggs.
7. They wanted me to pay extra for the eggs even after I spent $86 and was completely unhappy with my order.

I left and will never go back to an establishment that calls themselves a restaurant but wont fix the issue even after admitting they messed up.

Note to the owner: TRAIN YOUR STAFF!! People pay money to eat out and expect to get what they’re paying for! UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE PRICES!!! They are farrrrrr farrrr from the actual prices!

The place is really nice and everyone is so sweet. I only gave the food 4 stars because while it is good, it’s a little different than what I’m used to. I need to come back and maybe update later. Definitely will be a returning customer!!!

Server very good food a nono this time Charging 4.60 for an Inca soda 20 oz is wild won’t ever go back again also found hard shell on the shrimp are your cooks the lazy they can’t properly clean a shrimp the right way it can be hazardous and someone can choke do better

So very disappointed and upset. First time I ever write a review. Have been a customer since the restaurant opened and was its previous location . Prices not cheap but always sponsored bc I like soups. Just toda r when trying to get replaced beef broth that was not in the container became a “ profit “ issue. For a to go order of $35 when I made a claim it was denied bc I could not pick up replacement broth due to a family

I was so looking forward to the “Caldo de Bola” that I drove 30 min to pick up. Got it home, unpacked it, and neither of my two orders had the main ingredient, the bola ( i.e., plantain dumplings, stuffed with meat and vegetables). They sold me Caldo sin Bola, that I spent $40 for. I called to complain, and the owner refused to get on the phone. My credit card # was taken but I never received a refund. Called back in 2 days and still no resolution. This was a complete rip-off. Please don’t spent your hard-earned money here.

I agree with those people who say they overcharge. I add the bill they charged me over $20 more. The waitress is rude and she needs to have a better attitude to serve people. Food average but I wouldn’t recommended.
