Restaurant Amano in Prague is exactly the kind of place you visit with high expectations – and leave even more impressed. From the very first moment, it’s clear this is not an ordinary restaurant, but a well-thought-out gastronomic concept with a strong identity. The modern, elegant interior creates a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a romantic dinner, a business meeting, or a refined culinary experience in the heart of Prague.
The food is absolutely outstanding. The veal tartare with polenta and chanterelle mushrooms set the bar high right from the start. The combination of quail and lobster showcased exceptional work with flavors and textures. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the spaghetti with Gambero Rosso prawns and stracciatella di burrata – perfectly balanced, delicate yet full of flavor. Equally impressive was the sea bass fillet stuffed with shrimp and cuttlefish, complemented by caramelized miso.
The almond tiramisu was the perfect finale – light, not overly sweet, and elegantly flavored.
Special praise goes to the service: professional, natural, and attentive staff who know how to recommend wine and create a true dining experience, not just provide service.
We did not order much, but what we ordered we did not like at all. Grill Vegetables were basically burned. Mushrooms with cheese were not tasty a well.

Well priced for quality of service and food. Our waiter Dominik made us feel as though we were his only customer.
The food itself is very much an acquired taste. People around us were just sitting and looking at each other with hungry eyes while waiting.
My soup was served about 30 minutes earlier than the rest of the dishes for our table. When I asked why, the waiter said he had asked about the order of serving, but it became clear that he meant the order between soup and the main course, not the serving order for the table.
To be fair, the soup and the forgotten lemonade were not charged, which is honest, but it didn’t fix the overall situation.
Overall, the experience was disappointing and poorly organized.
Alongside the excellent food, they pay attention to every little detail, which truly enhances the experience. The atmosphere is simply elegant.
We tried everything from risotto to fresh pasta and steak—each dish was absolutely delicious.
We had an excellent dinner that felt like a true feast. To top it all off, we ended the night with a very special grappa that completed the meal perfectly.
