Earlier this month I drove around town frustrated because I couldn’t decide what to eat. It was a rare night I didnt have all my family with me, but I was tired of all my usual dining spots. While looking around I noticed this restaurant and realized it was now a Thai place. I wasnt aware it had changed. Well I love good Thai food and since the only other Thai place I know of in town falls short in my opinion, I decided no better time to give it a try. I was impressed! The place was clean, the staff friendly, and the food steaming hot and so flavorful! Its a small little restaurant but it packed a punch and I don’t forsee it going under anytime soon. The food quality was amazing. I had the green curry with chicken, some fresh spring rolls, and some hot tea to wash it down. There was not one thing I could say disappointed me. After I left, I immediately called my kids and told them to come check this place out on thier next outing. I can now enjoy great Thai without having to drive out to Davis or Sacramento. I truly hope my next visit is just as delicious and friendly as my first time visiting. If so I may become a regular. Give this place a try!

We stopped by for a quick lunch, what an amazing restaurant! Clean facility, friendly staff, huge menu, outstanding food. We ordered the crispy pork belly with Thai broccoli, plus rice, and that was big enough for lunch for the two of us. I can’t wait to come back to get this again! Amazing flavor. And there are so many other things to try.

The food is clean fresh and no joke. The chefs food brought tears to my eyes after missing homestyle cuisine and not being able to find Burmese style noodles in this area (available at select times !!) lots of dif options for different types of people (I can bring my vegan and halal besties here :))) Good attentive and friendly service as well.
(OH MY GOD AND YOU CAN CHANGE THE THAI TEA SWEETNESS LEVEL? That’s how u know its authentic Asian)

had such high hope since this is a new Thai place walking distance to my house and sell Kao man gai. Went in and excitedly ordered it but was later told they don’t have it. which is fine, but for the life of me I couldn’t get a straight answer from the waitress lady is it just a today thing or is it usually not available. she just keep telling me I need to call ahead. which is fine. then I ordered other stuff. But the steamed vegetable, it smelled fairly rancid, which I was willing to give it a try because you know sometimes steamed vegetable can taste just fine but because whatever reason smelled kinda bad.. but then I found out it was the baby corn. And it made the whole bowl basically with that faint rancid smell. Mentioned this to the owner, he basically denied straight out. but later went back to kitchen to check and admitted it was the baby corn that smelled bad but insisted it was fine. Sorry, you admitted it smell off, but keep telling me it’s fine ♀️ I just accepted it because I don’t want to spend the time arguing.
then as an after thought he came back LATER when we are ready for the bill and told me they won’t charge me and FINALLY apologize, I mean, yeah, it ended up not being charged, but the process was just handled poorly. Such a shame, I was planning to be a regular given I’m a sucker for kao man gai… nevermind then, guess I won’t be coming back.

Just so good! This local business nails the food and has decorated a cozy space. Panang curry is one of the best I’ve ever had! Love the fried onion in there—not over powering but adds something special 🙂 Garlic noodles so flavorful with veggies cooked to crisp perfection. The service was attentive and they took a special request for my son even though they had a full restaurant and takeout orders. You can tell this restaurant is a labor of love. Let’s give this place lots of love back, Woodland!

This is our favorite Thai restaurant. We’ve always been big fans of Situ and Zin and all of their culinary adventures I Davis. This latest one is perfect in Woodland. Try it you’ll like it. I have recommended it to many people. And they’ve given me what rapid reviews. Easy to get to from Davis. Plenty of parking. Among our favorites are the soups, the curries, and the mango salad.

The owner has an impressive memory! Not only did he remember my husband and I five months after our first visit but he remember it was our anniversary when we were there last and what we had ordered!! His food is fantastic. It tastes like he raised the chicken and grew the vegetables on his own farm! So fresh so perfectly cooked. Best food in woodland for sure, maybe the best food anywhere!

I had the most pleasant dinning experience at Amara. The owner/chef is definitely a people pleaser and made me feel right at home. He even spoiled me with sauces and hot chilies as I am a spice fiend. The peanut sauce was warm and the pork belly was the perfect combination of crispy and meaty. I can’t wait until Im back in Woodland to try something new from the place

We ate there for the first time today. The food was incredible and the presentation and service was first rate. It’s definitely a hidden gem. I can’t wait to go back. The Tom Ka soup was so yummy. The Pad Thai was amazing. The portions were enough for a seapcond meal tomorrow.

I loved this place. The staff were extremely nice and had excellent service. The food was very good. The owners were known to me from other locations and this location was wonderful. I highly recommend and I will be back for more.
