Many years ago, from the town of Monte Di Procida, Naples, Italy, 3 lifelong friends came to the United States in 1994. Like all of those who came before us, who had a dream, our dream was to succeed. After 3 years of hard work and dedication, we began to achieve our dream with the first Amalfi’s Pizza. Since 1997, our family upholds the long tradition of making exceptional dishes with the style and flair that once won the hearts of Italy. Every meal starts with family, friends, and wine. You’ll find a variety of dishes on our menu, from traditional favorites, to unique and modern cuisine. A special atmosphere of warmth, comfort, and joy pervades at Amalfi’s.
New York–style pizzas, pastas & traditional entrees served in a casual space with rustic touches.

Great food. Great atmosphere. Great staff.
Italian Nachos alone are worth the stop.

⭐ Long Review
Beware — long review ahead. If you don’t have time, see above. If you do, settle in.
We found Amalfi’s Pizza about nine years ago while passing through Statesville. Somehow, I never wrote a review — which makes no sense because ever since that first visit, we make it a point to stop here anytime we’re in or even going through town.
First things first: don’t let the name fool you. This is more than a pizza place. The quality and flavor of the food is next level. You can tell the owners care deeply about what they’re serving. It feels authentic, intentional, and consistent.
This visit, Galilea took care of us, and she was one of the best servers we’ve had anywhere. Constant smile. Knew the menu inside and out. Attentive without hovering. Just excellent service.
Now let’s talk about the reason we keep coming back.
Italian Nachos.
Nine years ago, we tried them as an appetizer, and they’ve lived rent-free in our minds ever since. I’ve never seen anything like them anywhere else. These aren’t tortilla chips — they’re crispy pasta layered with plenty of cheese, chicken, black olives, sweet peppers, and everything working together perfectly.
They are SHUT-YO-MOUTH good.
Two people could easily make a meal out of them. Every time we come, we say, “Let’s just get the nachos.” Every time, we fail and order more. This time, my wife made them her meal — we both shared, and we still had leftovers. Pro tip: eat them fresh and hot. They do not travel well. These are meant to be enjoyed right there.
This time around, I tried the bone-in pork chop special — topped with spinach and melted mozzarella. It came with mixed vegetables cooked exactly how I like them: tender but not mushy. So good.
At one point, a gentleman asked if I liked peppers. I said yes, and he brought out a mix of hot and sweet peppers in oil and suggested I try them with the pork chop.
WOW.
Absolute flavor explosion. If you order the pork chop, ask for the peppers on the side. Trust me.
The bread they bring out at the start is fantastic, especially dipped in their oil and balsamic blend. We were way too full for dessert there, but since this was our Valentine’s dinner (my wife was in town for a conference this week), we couldn’t leave without something sweet.
We took a slice of Tuxedo cake to go — and oh my. First time trying dessert here, and it did not disappoint. We also sampled a little Italian gelato with strawberries. Also excellent.
One confession — despite the name, we’ve still never tried the pizza. And that’s not a knock on it. The Italian dishes and specials have just been too good to pass up every time we come. They also offer strombolis, calzones, and sandwiches if you’re looking for something a little more casual. One of these days we may branch out… but it’s hard to skip what we already know is excellent.
The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed, with soft piano music playing in the background. It’s just a really nice place to sit, eat, and enjoy the evening. And yes — my sweetheart looked stunning that night, which made it all the better.
Nine years later, still one of our must-stop spots in Statesville.
Take a look at the photos and you’ll understand why we keep coming back.

Cozy vibe and friendly staff.
We enjoy coming to Amalfi’s every so often. Table service here is exceptional, food is served together, and the portions are well worth your money.
I played it safe and ordered fettuccine alfredo with chicken; can’t go wrong with that — plus, I had been craving it a while. Mozzarella sticks to start, potato soup, and Autumn got the house salad. All was much to our liking, but I made the mistake of eating bread before a main course of pasta, so I was unable to finish.
Among their many dessert options, we went with their chocolate cake. It is much bigger in person than it is in the picture. Plenty to share, too much for one.
Our server Willow was attentive and kept up with our asks throughout the meal. I always appreciate consistency. We will certainly have to keep coming back.
As a top Google Guide, I have to be honest. I’ve got to say before I begin this mini critique—that I have eaten in the finest establishments including Italy.
I ordered a calzone stuffed with ricotta. My friend went with the bruschetta. Well, the sauce had a fresh taste to it—but what I was looking for is some Italian herbs with every bite and that was lacking. I want to be as polite as possible and say that it would’ve been more pleasurable to taste the Italian in the meal. The bread & dipping oil was also not to my liking. Maybe I am spoiled but I think it could be better. Someone said the pizza is awesome. Perhaps it is. I didn’t try… maybe I would have enjoyed it. My friend ordered an espresso because she was in the mood for a coffee. She had a pleasant experience. Perhaps I will give them another try one day.
