We enjoyed a quiet meal at Osseo Family Restaurant. They serve breakfast all day. The menu is fairly large with many options for lunch and dinner too. We had excellent service!
Everyone thought the food was delicious. The portions are bigger for the breakfast items. The cup of soup, wrap and fries portions were similar to other restaurants.
Besides the news on the televisions, I liked the atmosphere. It might have been the first time I saw baby photos on the wall of a restaurant. How sweet! The Last Supper photo, eagles, flags, butterflies and flowers were also a display of beauty. It reminded me of going to Grandma’s house, which I miss.
We will plan to go again when we are passing through.

Good old fashioned truck stop Family type restaurant. Awesome. For its age ( building ) it’s in good shape. Restrooms were clean with hot water and stocked (8:30 pm) The service was great. Folks were nice and ready to help and serve. I can recommend the soup Chicken & Dumplings was really good the dumplings were made by grandma ! The rib plate – pork – was soft and tender and a lot of food ! If you go hungry here it’s not their fault lol Regular type of C store with gas pumps. Plenty room for the Furbabies. The restaurant does close at 9pm however.
Glad to see old styles like this still doing good.

My mother and I went here. She got the Stir Fry and I got the Philly Cheese. We got cheese curds as an appetizer. The wait time was not long, abd the food was hot when we received it. The food is really good. It was definitely an enjoyable experience. The atmosphere was very home feeling. The staff were always coming and checking on my mother and I, refilling our coffee as needed. Additionally, its not one person who checks on you its the team. It was definitely a place to stop in and have brunch at. We will continue to go here when I am in town. Thank you all. Its an amazing experience and worth the time.

California Scramble and ribeye special. Really good. Unsweetened ice tea fantastic. They have huge pies, kind service and amazing blue cheese dressing. Hollandaise sauce is delicious. Really good cooks.

I made a stop here after seeing their highway sign. I had a great BLT sandwich with some fries. Ingredients were nice and fresh. The service was fairly average. The connection with the convenient store and gas station was cool since it allows you to get snacks/drinks and gas before getting back on the road. I would definitely recommend stopping here for lunch if you’re in the area.

My father and I came to the restaurant and ordered a fairly big to go order. I was prepared to wait 20-30 mins based on the size of the order placed. Y’all the food was done in 10-15 minutes!! While waiting though the atmosphere feels like walking into your grandmas house. Its inviting and colorful, very retro. The entire staff (cooks, manager and waitresses) were so friendly. They engaged in conversations the whole time we waited and displayed such friendliness. Ontop of that the restaurant is super clean. When I got home I was missing the gyros. Called and let them know. Human mistakes happen its no biggie. When I came back they were so sweet and apologized and offered me pie for the miss. They surpassed all expectations. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. If you come to Osseo please give this place a try!

The food was not good. I had a chicken sandwich and the texture was unlike any chicken I have ever experienced. Also there was no sauce or anything it was just chicken and cheese on a pita.
Server was sweet and helpful. Atmosphere was cozy.

What a great diner just off the highway! We were really surprised by the quality of the food and enormous portions. The food reminded me of eating at Grandma’s as a kid, very solid old school home cooked meals. The roast pork was like a good thanksgiving dinner but with pork. The chicken and dumpling soup had a nice hardy chicken broth and was . The chicken fried steak was really good as well and the pancakes with whip cream were maybe my favorite hotcakes ever! If only more roadsides diners like this could be found driving across this country would be much more bearable!
