Lo Stella is a wonderful restaurant Italian restaurant with solid Italian flavors, we ordered the lamb, rigatoni, pesto gnocchi, and the special that included truffle butter with truffles shredded on top. The wine pairing recommendations went well with the dishes and the desserts are phenomenal, the ratings for this place is well deserved. Shoutout to Jacob who was an amazing server from the time we sat to when we got the bill, if he ran for mayor I’d vote for him. USA USA USA

Lo Stella is one of those places that instantly feels special without needing to try too hard. The atmosphere is intimate, cozy, and beautifully inviting. Perfect for a date night, a celebratory dinner, or a slow evening where conversation matters.
The food is absolutely outstanding. Best pasta in Denver hands down. Every dish felt comforting yet elevated, and the wine selection paired beautifully with the meal. Lots of intention put behind the menu. We loved the Parmesan wheel!
What truly sets it apart is the service. Warm, attentive, knowledgeable and genuinely welcoming.
A true Denver gem. We’ll absolutely be back!!

Me and my wife came here on a date night a couple nights ago after making a reservation which they sat us inmediately(I even noticed they sat a few people without so they are accommodating for sure, we sat near the front so I could hear the conversations on who had reservations or didn’t)
Started with a glass of wine, which their wine selection is very decent I would recommend getting some as it pairs well with any Italian food. We started out with the caprese and the special buffalo bone marrow dish. Both were SO good and had the perfect flavor and came out awesome.
I like to always order a dirty martini at Italian places or steakhouses and they didn’t disappoint, it was made perfectly and im pretty sure our waitress was the one who made it so props to her cause that was incredible! I will say the mains took a bit longer but it was right when everyone started pouring in for the rush of the evening so wasn’t an issue and then we got our main meals shortly after. I got the filleto e raclette, my wife got the bolognese. Absolutely both incredible, this is some pretty darn good Italian food and would absolutely recommend to anyone to eat here! I honestly wish I would’ve tried more pasta cause everything was delicious, we will be back for sure!

This place is at the top of our list. Small and local with amazing food. The best part about Lo Stella is the staff, they make the experience. Nicole was behind bar tonight and is amazing, whips up a perfect old fashioned. My wife and I love to talk to all the amazing staff like they are our own daughters. If you get a chance put this in your rotation as it is at the top of ours for a great meal and even better experience.

We visited for a friend’s wedding celebration and had a wonderful experience. The service was excellent, and the food was both authentic and delicious. Standout dishes for us were the lamb ragù pasta, cacio e pepe, and the panna cotta. The space is small but cozy, which adds to the charm. Highly recommended.

I do not understand the current rating. This place is a gem. Service was prompt, warm, informative, and not rushed. Huge list of specials from the server. Great atmosphere with comfortable seating. Not too loud or too quiet. Perfect for date night or an intimate celebration. The cacio e pepe was incredible and they’ll take you over to watch it be spun in the cheese wheel if you ask. Perfectly seasoned and so creamy. You can’t hide with a dish that has only a few ingredients – pasta (salt), toasted ground pepper, pecorino, and starch water. Sometimes simple is the hardest but the best. The tagliatelle bolognese is special. The meat is rich and the sauce is hearty; the entire dish is perfect. Bread service is worth the $5 for the focaccia alone. Olive oil is fresh, (olive) fruity, complex, and clearly high quality. It’s on the table with the balsamic so you don’t have to beg for more. The very authentic tiramisu is to die for and I believe even non coffee lovers would be converted. Ask for the cap if you don’t plan to finish the big bottle of still water (Aqua Panna) and a take home cup for the olive oil.

Great place for Italian food. Some classic Italian food and drink options, with some lesser known, but equally delicious choices as well. I had the home made ravioli with mortadella and pistachio and my husband had the classic salti imbocca alla romana. Both fantastic! The atmosphere was cozy and enjoyable, well lit without harsh lighting. The service and staff were the absolute best. The owner taking orders and checking on patrons as the bartenders and waiters kept patron’s glasses full and bellies happy. 10/10 for sure! Will definitely be back! Check out the after dinner drink options, a good variety that are classic and some you may not have heard of but give them a try!

Finally, a classic Italian restaurant, where I found authenticity and quality food.
The service was very welcoming, like in Italian restaurants, very friendly.
The pasta was cooked al dente, flavorful, and topped with Italian ingredients.
The wine selection was excellent.
Coffee and limincello were a delight.

The service here was absolutely abysmal. Walk in the place, seems perfectly staffed yet we all congregated at the door for 10 minutes before being greeted. We finally asked (even though we had a reservation) to just take the 4 open seats at the bar. Took them 10 mins to check. they sat us at the bar finally. We asked to move one seat over at the bar they made a huge fuss about that even though the end of the bar was taken up by family and friends of the bartender not even eating with their headphones on. Also no one else came and sat at the “non open seating bar”for the rest of the night. No suprise bc our reservation was at 9pm. No menus or water for another 10 mins till I finally asked. Ordered bread. Didn’t come till I asked again. Had to ask for napkins had to ask for cutlery. Finally ordered food. $32 for pasta. The lamb ragu and bone marrow special was good everything else was mid. Should have gone to Tavernetta for those prices, or any other Italian restaurant in Denver for that matter. Then watched the manager greet and suck up to a few older couples at the bar whilst ignoring other patrons. It was at least entertaining to watch him mac on the 20year old employee he was clearly dating.
Absolutely horrific experience. Don’t go here. Food was hit or miss and severely overpriced and completely overshadowed by the horrendous service that will ruin your entire night.
Pic of the $32 pasta for reference. No fresh parm was offered till we took some off a side table for ourselves

REAL ITALIAN FOOD!
I would fly back to Denver just for another meal here! I’ve dined at Lo Stella in Portofino and I will tell you the flavors were the same here in Denver! One whiff of the pesto and ypu will be transported to the Italian Riviera! The chefs and owner are from Italy in the ligurian region where pesto is king! Made with Genovese basil specifically grown for their dishes you have to try it!
My team had the lasagna, cacio peppe, Gnocchi al pesto, burata e prosciutto, focaccia and desserts. If you’re in Denver and want REAL traditional Italian flavor, Lo Stella Denver is a must!
