We had dinner here and it was OK. A bit disappointing because we were expecting better due to the resort status and price. We requested outdoor seating and got our wish, but outdoor seating is in the back and very plain and ordinary (like an afterthought) with no ambiance at all. We don’t recommend outdoor seating here. The food was mediocre at best. The saving grace was the caprese salad which was very good. We ordered 2 pasta dishes and one was flavorless and the other very sour. The panna cotta was a little sour and it tasted like yogurt, so we don’t recommend it. The almond flour cake had no flavor and if we were not told what it was, we wouldn’t have guessed. The service was friendly, helpful, and attentive. If you eat here and self park, you can get your parking validated by the hostess. This restaurant is only open from Wednesday to Saturday, and reservations are recommended. We will not return.

Gorgeous atmosphere. Perfect portions of decadent food. Be prepared to spend some time here. Our reservations were for 6:15 & we left at almost 9. Gondola ride tickets for everyone in party complients of the restaurant.

We came here for dinner on Saturday and had such an exceptional experience! We ended up sitting outside on the patio because the weather was so beautiful. We started with the Burrata appetizer and it was so fresh and creamy, it was so hard to even put it down! My husband got the Butchers Cut which was an incredibly tender, perfectly marbled ribeye. I had the Linguini with scallops, clams and truffle butter and it was SO good. The pasta is homemade in house every day and you can really tell in the quality of the flavor. It is the perfect date night spot when your craving a fancy Italian cuisine, plus after dinner you can even catch a gondola ride just a short walk from the restaurant. They also have a great kids menu, if you have the little ones with you! Also, our server was extra friendly and the entire staff was so super helpful and nice.

I loved Alto because it went well with the gondola experience. Now there’s no more gondola ride and the restaurant completely lost its appeal. I ordered the Flannery dry aged “Jorge” that took well over an hour to prepare. The table next to us with 3 people arrived after we put in our order and got their food before us. When I asked about the wait he said it was resting. Then it came out cold.

I brought my wife here to celebrate her birthday and might I say what a beautiful evening we had. Laura sat us next to the outdoor fire, we stayed nice and warm on the chilly evening. Our server took excellent care of us, he answered all of our questions and also suggested the best appetizer on the menu. My wife is pregnant and was not able to drink so the bartender made her a mock-tail to celebrate in style. The food was amazing everything was cooked to perfection and the flavors were impeccable. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better the pasty made a special desert just for my wife to make her birthday perfectly sweet. Included with dinner was a complimentary gondola ride on the water ways of the hotel grounds. On the water with a warm blanket on our laps and candles to set the mood the gondolier sang romantic Italian love songs as we slowly glided across the water under the stars. Alot Ristorante e Bar over exceeded my expectations in every way. We had a beautifully romantic night and will be back again! Thank you!

The best part of the evening was the free pass to ride the gondola after the meal. There was nothing wrong with our service or dinner, but nothing knocked our socks off. Pricey wine and entrees which was to be expected at a resort I suppose, but the cuisine was uninspiring and the decor did nothing to evoke memories of Italy. If I’m craving Italian I certainly would find a more authentic location.
