From the parking to opening 30 minutes late I wanted to give this restaurant a chance by leaving a good review. Ordered the red snapper to try. The seasoning and smell is reminiscent of the Al’s fresh fish in eastern market Detroit location I had when I was child. Only thing is I wish they would serve bigmouth buffalo fish. That was one of my favorite things to order back then. Good quality service and fast orders. 10/10 🙂

We drove down as my wife was hungry for chicken gizzard and found on line Als servers them. Drove 25 min and ordered, 10 min later she had a huge box of her gizzard. She said they were delicious and ate 1/2 the order and saving the other half for tomorrow. Staff was great and very helpful.

Cod quality is poor, not chunky, but flaky. Hush puppies are raw dough on the inside, uncooked batter. Sauce comes in packets. No lemons.

Would have preferred it if they made their own tartar sauce instead of having packaged ones. Fish (Cod) seemed to be fresh but the batter was slightly soggy. Tasted okay but I personally have had better.

Chicken fingers taste like fish. As if the grease wasn’t clean. The chicken was stringy and undercooked. I asked for extra lemon pepper and that was a burden. I didn’t get it. Not the first time that request has tried the workers patience and I’ve walked away without what I asked for. Worst of all? They give you two pieces of non toasted and non buttered bread. Just low quality.

I no longer order from here after seeing how the workers handle food in the back. One worker spat on the floor in front of customers and then picked up a piece of fried chicken that had fallen on the dirty floor, placing it back with the other food. I do not recommend this place to anyone due to my observations.

I like the place for a quick meal. Srimp, is good. Fish fillets could be a little thicker. But still not bad. Sometimes the fish can look like it’s been sitting out to long. Service, doesn’t seem like they care if they do business or not. Sometimes there on a personal phone while taking your order. If there was another place with the same food but better atmosphere, I would go there instead.
