While the food was great, I’m incredibly disappointed in the serving size of sides with the whole chicken purchase. It was $37 out the door for the amount of food in the photo. I did not have a chance to check the food before I left with it but I’m surprised if this is what you get for almost $40. There isn’t much value with this particular order.

This location is brand new, and it’s for that reason I assume they are having issues with Uber Eats. I had two paid orders (one last night, one this afternoon) through UE fail to be delivered, so I drove there myself and was definitely a bit of a Karen, but tried to be reasonable about it. The Manager (he mentioned his official title was something else, but effectively this was the manager) was willing to sit down with me and hear me out, I didn’t want to cause a scene or anything. He was very polite, patient, and understanding. He didn’t blame me for being upset and did everything he can and more to make things right. He not only remade my order (mine was cold by this time) but let me take the original one home for leftovers and threw in a bottle of soda. (If you are his store manager right now and consider scolding him for giving free food/soda, shame on you and I hope your business fails. I have worked in restaurants, he did the right thing.) He also took some notes on my specific issues with Uber Eats, as I was happy to provide, so he can get to the bottom of this issue and hopefully address it. In the end, the food was good. I got chicken, corn and fries, and all were at or above expectations. Honestly the corn is freaking awesome.
The way my concern was handled shows professionalism and I’m definitely willing to try them again.
Ultimately, this place is making great food but still has some kinks to work out. The reason I say this is because the Uber Eats ordering process is all messed up (UE says store staff will deliver it, but the store didn’t employ any drivers. The first time I called I was told they’re waiting for the uber driver. The second time I called about 30m later I was told it’s ready for ME to come pick it up), soda machines were out of order after only being open for a couple days, and there were other customers asking for a drink/side they ordered but didn’t receive. I’d recommend trying it, but not through Uber Eats until they figure all that out. They have a great BOGO deal on UE but are failing to actually deliver those orders. I just feel like someone messed up when they set things up with UE. Whatever the problem is, I assume it gets addressed soon based on the reception I got today.
And to that manager, thank you for addressing my concerns today. I feel more than compensated for my issues and will recommend my friends and family try Alpaca. I’m sorry I came in so hot.. I was very hangry.

We were going to a movie and decided to stop here on our way. This is the third time we have eaten at an Alpaca restaurant and the food is always delicious. We had the half chicken along with rice and green beans which were just as good as a chicken. They give you a good amount of food for the price that they charge so it is well worth going here.
