The Philly was okay but the service was absolutely horrible. They forgot my Mexican sodas so I called instead of just refunding my card. I drive 5 mi all the way back and then they questioned me. Like are you sure we even charged you? Yeah you charged me. That’s why you told me to drive back and get them instead of just refund of my card. I’m done with straight out of Philly.

Why is it that there are places an hour away from Philly that can’t get it right, but this place would be a genuine Philly classic? These people know how to cook a cheesesteak, and are also very sweet. Best of all, the bread is on point, which is very important for a cheesesteak. If you’re looking to see what a real cheesesteak tastes like, this is probably as close as you can get. Also don’t skip out on their homemade curry hot sauce and homemade ranch!

Straight Out of Philly is a fantastic place. Best philly in Anchorage for sure, maybe Alaska! First time I visited I met the owner and had a great conversation. The place has an interesting story. Twice now I’ve visited and gotten an amazing sandwich, the mushroom philly – double meat. It’s got great flavor, soft and crunchy bread and melty cheese! What else could you ask for? Go visit this great family and their sub shop!
