The lady that checked me out was a sweet heart, but that is not enough to make me come back.
I ate 2 out of the 12 hot honey wings I purchased, which was decent in flavor. The fries were soggy with little, to no seasoning. Out of 12 pieces they gave me all drums & 1 flat. They do not clean their meat or at least check it. I know this because I discovered one of the legs (pictured below) had many LONG feathers still attached to it, which totally grossed me out. I do like their ranch though!!
In the future I hope they treat their food with better care.

7.29.24 stopped in for lunch due to all the awesome reviews. Can’t say I agree. We ordered regular size Philly’s rather than the double meat. Philly’s are normally packed with meat mushrooms and onions and to order a double would have seemed too much. Our Phillys arrived and it was 1/4 meat 3/4 bread. The meat had good flavor but was seriously lacking quantity you expect for a Philly. Maybe ditch the Regular size Philly’s and just sell the double meat ones.

We normally drive to Palmer for wings and Philly cheese steak but it’s great to find a restaurant here in town. Ordered the single combo Philly cheese steak and it doesn’t disappoint. There’s more than enough meat but you could always double the meat for a few dollars more. This sandwich is pretty big, could easily be a meal for two. The fries is ok, nothing special. The wings is pretty good too. We’ve taken ours to go but the staff are friendly. We highly recommend for some good food.

There are some places that just need no real words. Just get the wings or tenders, preferably hot flavor. They’re warm, they are spicy, and always a treat. They are coated in a hot sauce not unlike Buffalo but just as addictive, for a fair price. They have a good crunch as if fried well. I get a weekly hankering for this place to where I just ask for the usual at least once a week and they know who exactly is calling and what for. Have yet to find better chicken in this town

The staff is ridiculously hospitable and professional at the same time they are so very kind here. This is the best place in all of Alaska to get the best philly cheesesteak sandwich! I will keep coming back over and over again because the food is amazing the service is impeccable and the atmosphere is just a great place to go have some lunch with some girlfriends!

Straight Out of Philly is a fantastic place. Best philly in Anchorage for sure, maybe Alaska! First time I visited I met the owner and had a great conversation. The place has an interesting story. Twice now I’ve visited and gotten an amazing sandwich, the mushroom philly – double meat. It’s got great flavor, soft and crunchy bread and melty cheese! What else could you ask for? Go visit this great family and their sub shop!

Exactly what you expect small dining area not great parking. But trust me the food makes up for it all. The Boss Philly is to die for full of flavor. And the wings are just as delicious. A must try if your in Anchorage I can’t wait to go back.
