I had a really pleasant time at this restaurant, primarily due to the wonderful atmosphere and the absolutely excellent service. The dining environment is beautiful, and the staff truly goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. I ordered the Iskender, and while it was acceptable and tasted okay, I was hoping for a slightly higher quality. My only real disappointment was the tea; I specifically requested a fresh cup, but unfortunately, it arrived cold and didn’t taste freshly brewed, so I would probably skip the tea next time. Despite the food being just okay, the exceptional service and lovely vibe still made it an enjoyable visit.

Alihan’s, you are the best restaurant in downtown Pittsburgh We invited 10 families ( 30 persons ) to Alihan’s. Martina was wonderful. She took care of everything. We had a buffet, food was fresh, hot and delicious. The servers Gulnaz, Madina, Sweet Peace were so friendly and kind. Really Alihan’s combines quality food and a family friendly environment. We definitely will host our guests again Thanks ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is an oasis of Turkish cuisine in downtown Pittsburgh! The prices were very reasonable, the food was incredible, and the service was amazing! We were here in the late afternoon so it wasn’t very busy and we were seated right away.

Found by accident when I parked in the garage here. Absolutely outstanding food, surprisingly child friendly, and service was perfect. So good I came back before leaving town!

Food was terrific. We sat outside and service was a little scattered. We didn’t have one dedicated server, and one often didn’t know what the others had already taken care of (or not). That could have been a consequence of choosing an outside table or just the way they operate. Even so, our food was delivered quickly and the only time we waited was when we were finished and ready for the check.

As for the food, everything was delicious. If you like strongly flavored things, the grilled veggie appetizer is a winner. The baklava, mentioned in other reviews, was easily the best I’ve ever had. Not dripping in sugar, but buttery and crispy and just sweet enough. The Turkish tea and coffee are both quite strong!

Was walking around the city looking for a decent place for lunch outside the cold winter.

Stumbled upon this Mediterranean cuisine restaurant.

Had the beef with rice and it was lovely. The beef was tender with flavours and the rice was the star component for me with this dish.

Had a Turkish tea which was very refreshing to end the lunch (or so I thought…)

Upon looking at the desert menu, kunafe was available. Am a big fan of the dish and decided to chat with the waiter. The waiter said this is freshly made to order and has a 15mim wait. The fact that it’s made fresh, got me sold.

It was fragrant, crispy, packed with flavours. The ice cream topped up the sweetness.

The staff and waiter was very friendly and accommodating.

Would definitely recommend anyone who’s in the city looking for a nice cosy ambience and great service with delicious food to try the place.

Absolutely amazing experience. Top notch service, delicious food. Food was not salty, that is a great thing as real flavors can shine and chef’s cooking skills can complement the ingredients and the dish.

Everything we ordered was outstanding. The Taboulleh was crisp and fresh, the Chef Borek perfectly flaky, and the Shrimp Saute with Lemon Sauce was bright and flavorful. The rice pilav was the ideal pairing. The Seafood Ravioli with Shrimp was rich, creamy, and full of flavor without being heavy. Service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. You can tell every dish is made with care. Highly recommend Alihan’s for anyone who loves fresh Mediterranean food done right.

My family and I visited Alihan’s Turkish Cuisine earlier this evening. This was our first time trying this cuisine, and the entrée prices were reasonable.

We were served by a young female server who provided excellent service from the moment we walked in until we left.

Our entrées arrived later than expected. It appeared that she was working the entire shift on her own, as we did not see any other staff assisting her.
She was managing more than six tables at the same time, which likely caused the delay.
Despite this,
her communication skills were fantastic, and we received everything we ordered except for a small mango drink. This seems to be an issue of communication with the kitchen and ensuring adequate staffing during busy hours.
We were a group of seven, including three children. We ordered three Adana kebabs, along with one chicken shish kebab and one lamb shish kebab. The Adana kebabs were well done and definitely worth the price. However, the chicken and lamb shish kebabs did not meet the same standard.
As a friendly suggestion to the kitchen staff and owners, some adjustment in how the kebabs are prepared and served would improve consistency.
Additionally, there was a cleanliness issue. One of the cold appetizers (I do not recall the name) was served on a plate with visible dirty spots. We did not complain at the time, but this is something that should be addressed.
We are leaving this review so the restaurant can focus on accuracy, cleanliness, and proper staff management. My sincere thanks to the server for her dedication and outstanding service. With better staffing and attention to detail, this restaurant has great potential.
Thank you for the meals and the excellent service provided by your server.
