Since 1969, Alfie’s Fish and Chips has been a beacon of authentic English culinary excellence in Lompoc. Originally a franchise, now the last Alfie’s at 610 North “H” Street since 2019. Founded by the Scottish couple Jack & Margaret Cairney, passed to Colleen Staffel, then to Mike and Nellie Sewall in 2001, preserving the quaint English feel and family atmosphere. Food is great. Some of the most authentic fish and chips I’ve had. Don’t grab it to go. Sit in and enjoy it. Family run atmosphere. Friendly and wholesome. A nice place to eat with friends or family.

I haven’t been to Alfie’s in a very long time and was craving some fish & chips. Not knowing what I really wanted, I ordered the basics. The service was great. Our cashier, maybe Nelly? was so patient. I drove all the way home.
When we sat down to eat, it was the best! We had a few extra nibblets and the state sauce is so good! Made my night. Thank you again for a wonderful fresh meal and great service!

Just had the most incredible fish and chips experience at Alfie’s in Lompoc! This place is a true gem that serves up authentic, no-nonsense fish and chips the way they should be made.
The fish was absolutely perfect – fresh, flaky, and coated in the most beautifully crispy golden batter I’ve ever seen. You can tell they use quality fish, not the frozen stuff you get at chain places. The chips were equally impressive – properly cut, fluffy inside with that perfect crispy exterior, and seasoned just right.

My parents and Grand parents are from England and they have always loved Alfie’s . I too really recommend eating here . The food is great and has an English Pub style atmosphere. Great service and great food . A must if your in Lompoc !

I always get the clam chowder, it’s good. Nothing to rave about but still good. Service is always nice, and place is always clean. I suggest Add long seasoning to the fries to make them better.

Great food with good portions. Love the fish & jumbo shrimp. Their fried twinkies and pumpkin puppies are great when available too. Everyone there’s nice and the wait is never long and always worth it.
