Absolutely the place to stop if you love Greek food or you are seeking authentic Greek deliciousness !!!

The staff was professional, warm, welcoming… all of the staff worked harmoniously together serving everyone from the moment we entered to our departure.

Easy walking distance from nearby hotels.

Thank you.

Great Greek food, with a wide variety of options. Can’t go very wrong with their gryos, and the moussaka is quite fine too. Pasta was amazingly creamy and well spiced. The shrimp kebab had great flavor and seasoning.

It does get a little loud as the kitchen is very close to the eating area and not walled off entirely.

Moussaka was super yummy and a perfect portion size. This is my place to go for a hot grown-up drink like the one in the picture. Would recommend!

Oh my gosh this place is amazing! Very quick and friendly service even though they were busy and the FOOD! So flavorful and delicious, I couldn’t stop eating it! I ate my chicken gyro too quickly to taste a pic but I got one of my baklava! The depth of flavor for both dishes was superb,I highly recommend this restaurant!

Great food, great service. We spent $93 including tip and had a starter, 2 mains, a soda, and a desert. We left with enough leftovers for a two person lunch. I will say that the baklava while good was not my favorite part of dinner. You can definitely taste the fresh walnuts in it, and they use local honey, but it was hard to eat and needed more honey throughout. The traditional gyro was delicious. I could have maybe used a little more red onion imo, but there was soo much meat included. That was great. The salad was super fresh, and the dressing was very fresh also. The rice was delicious and not on the menu as a side but cost $8 for the big portion. The lamb burger was well dressed, although a cibatta bun is not my overall fave it went well. And the sample starter was my favorite. The dolmadakia was deliciously seasoned and brined, a lemon wedge would be a nice addition. The feta was fresh, the pickle components were very nice, and the pita was freshly toasted. I will say I’ve had better spanakopita, I felt like it was lacking herbs and cheese, but as a hot addition to the cold sampler, I enjoyed it. All in all, this was money well spent on a date night. I forgot to mention the attention of the waitress was spot on. Not too much, but just enough. And this place was not busy so the atmosphere was perfectly intimate. Parking is street parking, and that is only 2 hrs at a time until 5pm.

Great dinner – I’m gluten free and had the rice & chicken bowl (too lazy to look up the name) and got gf pita with it which was incredible. My +1 had the moussaka which was fantastic. Friendly service, tasty food, and atmosphere was fine. They were offering a BOGO that night which made the meal very reasonably priced. No idea how often this happens; we were just passing through.

It was our first time at Alexander’s. My husband had not really had Greek food before we got an appetizer and then both had gyros. They were excellent, and we will be back. I saw a lot of people getting food to go, which I think is another great option sometime when I just need a quick meal and I want something delicious!

I’ve always loved Alexander’s Greek Cuisine and was excited to stop in for their $10 gyro lunch special (and the “kids eat free” offer). The food was delicious, and one of the servers — a very kind woman — was absolutely wonderful. She was warm, attentive, and made our lunch feel special.

What felt strange, though, was the service dynamic. The man who seated us said he’d be right back, but he never returned. Instead after a while of waiting, the woman came over and took care of us, and from what I could tell, we were the only table she was serving while the man handled all the others around us. He checked in warmly with every table except ours, grabbed our check and brought it back without much interaction.

It left me feeling like maybe he didn’t want to serve us, which was disappointing — especially since I’ve always really liked this restaurant and came in excited to support it. Regardless of a lunch special, I’d expect not to be treated like we’re second tier. I still want to give credit where it’s due: the woman who stepped in truly turned things around and showed what great hospitality looks like. I hope management recognizes her kindness and also takes note of how those small differences in treatment can really affect a guest’s experience.

I find it surprising how many of my Douglas County friends have never been to Alexander’s Greek Restaurant in Roseburg at 643 SE Jackson Street. Personally, Alexander’s is in my top three Greek restaurants in the U.S. Not that I know a lot about Greek food, because I always order the same thing. It’s just that Alexander’s does an exceptional job preparing a Gyro and Greek salad (pictured) just the way I like it. Alexanders has all the traditional Greek dishes. But the one I always select is the Gyro platter combination.

The Gyro (pronounced yee-ro) is ground beef mixed with lamb (traditional Gyro) cooked on a vertical rotisserie, then sliced and served wrapped in pita bread, along with tomato, onion and tzatziki. The platter includes an ice-cold delicious salad with Greek dressing. I usually add a Too Shy IPA.

I satisfied my craving Friday at Alexanders and encourage others to do likewise. Trust me when I write having a Greek restaurant like Alexanders is a privilege not many small towns can boast.

Great food and service. My wife and I were on our way home from vacation and wanted to stop in the area to see a friend. She suggested meeting at Alexanders Greek Cuisine and we are glad we did.

The pasta and gyro’s were awesome. We all left with a full belly and we even had some leftovers to take home.

Super friendly staff. Fast service.
