There are a lot of reasons to choose one restaurant over the other. With the Al Muntaha my decision was mainly based on location, location and location. The Burj Al Arab has been the symbol of Dubai for me since my first visit in 2002. So when I noticed there is a Michelin Star Restaurant in the iconic top view floor, I stopped looking. And I was not disappointed, the location of Al Muntaha in the Burj Al Arab is breathtaking. The food? Yes we had a wonderful dinner, maybe the tasting menu was a little „overtruffeld“ but absolutely injoyable, and the wine pairing and service was excellent. I normally don’t speak about value for money, but here I have to. The Al Muntaha at some other random place would be astronomical overpriced. It was for sure not the best 1 star restaurant I have eaten in, but by far the most expensive one, and this includes iconic places like the Hotel de Paris in Monaco. So if your motivation is „food“ maybe consider going somewhere else, but if you are looking for „creating memories“ , the Al Muntaha is definitely a place to be. First star visit in 2026, for me it was perfect, thanks for the experience!

We will definitely not be coming back to Al Muntaha. We chose the tasting menu, and when we left, we kept asking ourselves why this restaurant has a Michelin star and what exactly we paid 2,200 dirhams for.

The atmosphere was pretty uncomfortable. The staff seemed uninterested, paid little attention to us, and the food presentation did not impress. To make things worse, we could hear angry shouting from the kitchen.

A few dishes from the tasting menu were good, especially the langoustine, tuna pasta, and roasted pigeon. Others made no sense at all. Cauliflower ice cream was strange, the coconut dessert was completely overpowered by grapefruit, and the biggest WTF moment was toast served as a main course. No one even asked if we liked the food. For that price, even a gas station felt like better value.

Everything you can expect from a Michelin starred restaurant in Dubai. Definitely worth a “detour” from your journey. The views alone are enough ! But yes, the food is fantastic, service impeccable , the atmosphere is just amazing…

A delightful culinary experience! My wife and I visited for our anniversary and were treated to excellent service and some delicious food. There are quite a few amuse-bouche dishes to try, which were very tasty. We sampled and shared a selection of starters, mains, and a dessert. Food was absolute top notch, as one might expect from an establishment such as this. All in all a very nice experience!

Extremely pleasant place, a perfect match between food quality, service and atmophere. We took the 7 courses degustation menu (Excl. surprises ) with the standard wine pairing and it was a wonderful journey for us. Thank you to the Italian chief who promote a modern Italian-French inspired cuisine and does his work with passion and dedication… this was awsome.

An unforgettable experience at Al Muntaha in the Burj Al Arab. From the moment you drive onto the private island and enter the iconic lobby, you already feel that you are somewhere truly special. The staff are exceptionally friendly and service-oriented, and the elevator ride to the 27th floor opens up to a breathtaking view that alone would already be worth the visit.

I had mentioned in advance that it was my girlfriend’s birthday, and the team went above and beyond. We were given a beautiful table for two directly by the glass window, both of us with a stunning panoramic view over the Palm and the coastline. Dining with that view is simply extraordinary.

The amuse-bouche and greetings from the kitchen were delicious, with great textures and intense flavors. We chose the Epicurean Menu, and every course was beautifully presented, refined, and full of flavor. Of course, as with every fine-dining or Michelin-starred restaurant, it’s about the culinary experience rather than large portion sizes – and they delivered that experience perfectly.

But what truly made the day outstanding was the personal attention: birthday cake with a candle, flowers, a framed photo of us, and incredibly warm gestures throughout. A very special thank you to Joaquin, who was not only an outstanding an super friendly waiter, but also kindly gave us a tour of the hotel afterwards, which made the day even more memorable.

Overall, an absolutely fantastic experience! Seven stars for the hotel, and if possible, I’d give the restaurant an extra Michelin star too Highly recommended!

What an experience – and yes that was an experience not a restaurant visit. The food was completely sensational. Every dish was most minimalist in their ingredients but yet more flavorful and more elegantly presented than the other. My favorite was the salmon tartar.

The service was top notch and the views are the cherry on top.
