Lovely little restaurant with some delicious food. Their menu is surprisingly large, and everything my group tried was quite decent. The staff were friendly and helpful. There isn’t much seating for dining in the restaurant.

Wow. The sushi was some of the freshest I’ve had. I got food delivered, so I can’t comment on the service at the restaurant, other than to say the delivery process was great. I’m visiting for a few days, and I’m considering getting dinner from here for a second consecutive night, it was so good.

Got this as takeout for the first time and it did not impress. Dragon roll barely had unagi glaze. The California roll had plain sliced imitation crab and overall tasted plain. The only redeeming thing was the nigiri and the rice. The quality seems to be good. See pictures for two very plain looking and plain tasting rolls.

I ordered the Fire Cracker Roll & the Mango Lovers Roll!!! They both were fresh and tasted very good!!! It was take out order placed upon arrival. They were quick and friendly!! Will go back when in area.

This place is the mom and Pop shop who may not have a fancy place but they have pride in their food and great customer service. Their tuna was FIRE. Melt in your mouth, so good. We WILL be back.

I like Akari a lot. It is a pretty casual, small, take out restaurant. Casual sushi places are my personal preference, so please note this is not a fancy place. It’s my favorite lunch spot and the only Madison sushi restaurant I have come back to consistently. For the quality, speed, and tastiness I think it is worth trying. I tend to get their spicy tuna rolls but I just tried the hamachi (yellowtail) nigiri. They have been consistently good. I also particularly like the owner. She has been there every time I have picked up, but she is really nice.

Stopped in quick for take out after Movies and grocery shopping. Delicious rolls made from eel, cucumber and avocado. Ordered 2, 2 go. So fresh and So yummy The service was so quick, no waiting. Great price! Will frequent this place more often when in town. * Remind me for next time to ask for more ginger with the rolls. The ginger with the rolls is absolutely divine!

Per reviews being mixed I was hesitant to order. But food was good. Had monster roll, chicken fried rice, and udon beef & vegetable spring rolls. Everything but the rolls were good. Rolls tasted sour idk wouldn’t order again. But everything was tasty !

Good sushi rolls and lo Mein at a good price. The space itself is very takeout focused and isn’t necessarily setup great for dining in. They do keep everything clean but don’t expect a full on dining atmosphere.
We had a few specialty rolls which were all delicious, two pieces of the red snapper sushi, and the akari lo Mein. All were delicious and the sushi had large fresh cuts of fish. We spent 70 after a modest tip and had some to take home.
I would absolutely recommend for takeout or a quick bite.
