Our favorite is the Machaca con Huevos because they add mushrooms…yummie!
I’m thrilled to share my outstanding experience at Ajo Al’s!

Every single element was spot-on: the service, the food, the atmosphere, the prices — everything radiates care and consistency. We were greeted warmly, and throughout the meal, at least five different employees stopped by to check on us. You can feel how much pride the staff takes in making sure guests are happy. Our server, Fred, deserves special mention — he was genuine, attentive, and seemed truly invested in making our experience exceptional.
The food? Absolute perfection for the price. Tacos for just $3, imported draft beer for $5 — you simply can’t beat that. Each bite was full of flavor and nostalgia. The decor remains wonderfully vintage, with that timeless charm that so many places lose over the years. Even the carpet floors — yes, the carpet! — give it that comforting, old-school vibe that whispers, you’re home.
It’s rare to find a place that holds onto its soul while still delivering top-notch quality across the board. This restaurant isn’t just a meal; it’s a memory that keeps giving. Please, never change.
Wrong, main salsa had a much flavor as tomatoes sauce.
Green stuff puzzled me, maybe uncooked tomatillos with some lime juice?
Other red salsa was marinara with chili powder.
Carnitas and carne asada were cooked very well but zero seasoning.
They do have a pet friendly patio. NICE.
Happy hour prices were great, and food portions were the perfect amount. The Chili Con Queso is a must-have, and the open faced quesadilla was also good. We had one of each of the 3.75 tacos and was pleasantly surprised how delicious they were.
Also, the margaritas are obviously a must-have on happy hour. I probably don’t have to say this because that’s why happy hour is happy hour, but I just wanted to make sure you know you won’t be disappointed coming here!
