Welcome to the Aiken Fish House and Oyster Bar. Damian and Rachael Blevins, husband-and-wife founders of Aiken Fish House & Oyster Bar, combined their coastal upbringings to create a seafood restaurant rooted in bold flavor, tradition, and community. Damian brings West Coast influences with fresh, fearless preparations and vibrant flavors, while Rachael contributes East Coast traditions centered on hospitality, oyster roasts, and Southern coastal classics. Together, they’ve built a hands-on, community-driven gathering place where Pacific-inspired techniques meet Atlantic heritage on every plate.

Even while helping guests at the door, she was still incredibly attentive and made sure I had everything I needed. The whole place had a calm, comfortable vibe for a Saturday evening, which I really appreciated.
This was my first time trying Aiken Fish House, but it definitely won’t be my last — I’ll be back with my whole family. Highly recommend!
We tried the soup of the day, which was the king crab chowder (kind of like a corn chowder with king crab) and it was rich in flavor and tasty. I tried the low country boil and it was extremely filling with thick cut sausage and deliciously prepared easy to peel and eat shrimp, red skin potatoes, corn on the cob, thick cut onion rings, and served with a side of fresh drawn butter.
We’ll definitely be back!!
But BABY THE RED BEANS (OR LACK THERE OF)& RICE WAS THE STAR OF THE SHOW.. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. Just needed more beans ..WAiter was great very attentive. I’m definitely going back
came around 4:30 on a Friday early in March.
Not super busy yet (probably would have been later).
There were no prices for beer or cocktails on the bar menu, so we didn’t order any (I hate asking for a price; although the menu does helpfully inform you that “you can buy the kitchen staff a round for an extra $10”).
Our fish and chips came with a couple of quite hard little hushpuppies.
It was disappointing that a small side of coleslaw isn’t included with a fish and chip meal (this is the 765th fish and chip restaurant in North America that we have eaten at by the way, and of those only 7 have not served a small coleslaw with the dinner)
A 18-22% tip is recommended and thoughtfully calculated for your convenience.
Our waitress was perfunctory.
