I came here to celebrate my birthday dinner with the family , very disappointed in the food and sushi. I used to really enjoy this place but the food is so bland, we spent 130 for 3 people,which I wouldn’t have minded if the food was worth it. Will not be returning ever again

We had another incredible experience at Ah-So Sushi & Steak in Avondale! One thing we love about this place is the consistency; the food here is just as high-quality and delicious as the Happy Valley location, which keeps us coming back.
A huge thank you to the managers, David and Stephen, for running such a tight ship and making us feel so welcome. Also, a special shout-out to Patty, our server and bartender—she is absolute magic behind the bar and her service is second to none!
Since we love coming here with big groups, we do have two small requests for the future: we’d love to see some more TVs added for sports and entertainment, and adding karaoke on the weekends would take the atmosphere to the next level! Regardless, the service and food are always top-tier. Highly recommend.

Went with the office team for our Christmas party. It was a lovely experience being able to watch the chef put together everyone’s plates by the grill. Neat presentation.

The food was good but the hostess who was working the night of 1/14/26 had a very bad attitude. When we arrived and I told her it was my wife’s birthday and we had reservations, she simply told us to sit down and wait for our table. When we were leaving and I thanked her and told her we enjoyed our meals she said “The front door is over there” You can’t justify it by saying she was busy because she was all by herself up front and it was not a busy night. That was our go to spot for special occasions but now we won’t go back not just because of that hostess but because apparently this restaurant is comfortable hiring people like this. It’s very unfortunate.

We come here fairly regularly and while generally we are happy with both food and service, tonight was awful. It seemed as if they had an entirely new staff that had never worked before. The hosts didnt seem to know what was going on and didn’t put our name down on the wait list for the grill initially. Then, when we were sat, it took over 20 minutes to get our drinks (sodas). The manager had brought out the soups and salads but didn’t hand them out and the waitress didn’t attempt to hand them out until we had already been served some of our food by the cook. The fried rice was overly peppered and the yum yum sauce was runny. The only good thing was the protein. Overall, it was a bad experience tonight and highly disappointing.

The steak was juicy, the shrimp was flavorful, and the sushi roll was fresh and well-balanced. Loved the wine selection too — perfect for a relaxed night out. Will definitely be back!

I ordered take out. Had questions about the menu, and employee wasn’t very knowledgeable on, so another employee answered my question but item i ordered was not as explained. When I ordered it asked for a certain amount of sauces and then when i got my food, had to ask again. I don’t know if hostess was new or what. It’s a little pricey as well. The stuffed shrimp was really good though. Overall it was okay.

Second visit and must say it was way more pleasant than the first visit. Clean facility. Cook was hilarius and did a great job with presentation and food. Only disappointing thing was the attitude from server as well as a $3 up charge for requesting no onions. Will be charged due to allergy/or preference.

We went on Valentine’s Day. We knew the wait would be crazy. We waited 2 hrs. The hostess was very rude. We had to wait that long because the first party of 8 miscounted a person. It happens. There was only 2 of us we know it gets tricky when seating for hibachi .Then they say the next party didn’t want others so we would have to wait again!!!! YeaA nooo for me.. so we ended up sitting with some very nice families. while waiting we sat at the bar. The bartender was AMAZING! She made our wait bearable. Her customer service was great, she was very attentive to us. Would definitely go back to the bar. When seated we really got no show. Justa napkin on fire lol and getting my face wet by the little “peeing” guy lol … It was bleh! To say the least. The food was very rushed. Sriracha made it better. Overall it was a 3/10 . Would love to go again and hopefully have a way better experience.
