First time in Alabama so we were looking for a good barbecue place, particularly for white sauce. This was delicious. The staff were efficient and friendly. We had a big platter with lots of meats and added a side sampler just so we could try everything. It was all delicious.

Stopped by Moe’s right before Mardi Gras wrapped up, and overall it was a solid visit. The server and bus boy were very polite and welcoming, which made the experience even better during such a busy time. The food was good and definitely hit the spot. The BBQ had great flavor but came out a bit lukewarm. The mac and cheese could’ve used a little more cheese, and the potato salad would be even better with a touch more mayo.
Even with those small tweaks, everything was tasty and the experience was positive. I’d definitely come back again!

What a great way to spend a lovely Friday and watch the uga. The food here is fresh and hot. This a great place for some BBQ. Either you eating in or taking home the BBQ it will not disappoint. I definitely recommend the pull pork and the smoke wings. If you swing by, stop at the bar look for Nastasja she’s the Best and her drinks hit the spot!!!

Love Moe’s “nachos” fresh made chips and loaded with pulled pork and all the fixin’s. It is an appetizer, but it is plenty for a shared meal at lunch. We have not visited for lunch in a long time, we were disappointed to find you order at the counter and self serve drinks, extra sauce, etc. It must be a recent change as we watched several people come in and not know. The staff said they do have table service at other times. Food was still tasty and good portions.

Went here for dinner after a long day and it turned out to be a solid choice. The place has that laid-back BBQ feel, nothing fancy but comfortable enough to hang out for a while. I ordered brisket with a side of mac and coleslaw. The meat was tender and had a good smoky flavor, not too heavy on sauce which I liked. Portions were fair for the price. Service was friendly, a little slow but they checked in a couple times. Overall, a good neighborhood BBQ spot I’d come back to when craving something simple and filling.

Meatloaf Monday!! Not your momma’s meatloaf. So it wasn’t all dried up but just as filling. Sat at the bar. Service was great. Got my order in and food came out quickly. Luckily for me I came in right before the 10 construction workers and 9 or so motorcycle cops walked in. Gotta say Jack Baylor is a dedicated employee and the best damn food runner on dauphin st. A true staple at Moe’s BBQ on dauphin !!!

We had our 50th McT’75 HS class reunion at Moe’s Original BBQ. This was our first time there. I ordered the fried catfish sandwich & my wife ordered the rib plate with bake beans & potato salad. The catfish was delicious. My wife didn’t like the ribs & bake beans. We took the potato salad to go. Haven’t tried it yet. I enjoyed my catfish sandwich. Thank you for great service from the staff.
